What products are safe for cleaning the case? The book that comes with it says refer to Mac Help but I am unable to find any info there on the subject.

Does anyone know if there is a tool available to remove the bolts on the arm supporting the screens on these iMacs? They have 3 small indents in a triangular pattern, and I don't want to do any damage. Thanks!

Well, I now have this iMac home with me. Works great, needs some cleaning as it comes from a smokers home (yuk). But at least now I have one of each size screen! Talk about obsessive....

As noted already - I have offered to contribute for a better host. I want to know how much and how often this is needed and I am MORE than willing to do so. Can't say I see many others here offering to pay up...

It's not the occasional downtime that is the issue - it's the ongoing slow / no connection. I have offered to contribute financially to get a better host. See my earlier posts on this topic and you'll see this offer.

I have had several compacts sent through the mail (not overseas though!), and never had a broken CRT. Even that disaster (some may remember the rant on the pre-crash forum) that destroyed an SE FDHD saw the CRT survive intact, but the case was destroyed from being thrown around by the post...

Just arrived home with a graphite case (see through) iMac G3. Running OSX 10.3.9, with 512MB RAM and a 12GB hard drive. Came with an Apple Pro Keyboard that matches and a Logitech USB mouse. It also has MS Office 2004 on it. Paid $20 for it [:)] ]'>

Tried deleting the cookies as you suggested Tom. Still have had to relog in a few times. It seems to be connected to the slow server reponses when this occurs.

I have noticed as well that the email that is supposed to come when someone replies in a thread you've posted in has quit working. The box is still checked in my profile for this option.

I tried all day Saturday to connect, and it kept timing out. Wasn't until the evening I was able to connect and then it was extremely slow when trying to read posts - I finally gave up. Very frustrating for sure. Perhaps we all need to donate some $ to get a better host? I'd be willing for sure...

It happened again. Slow to connect, had to log in. Also no indication of new posts.... I know there are based on the date / time of last post on some of the topics yet the little flashing icons are not there.
