iMac Slotload Optical Drives in G4 Tower?

Oh, if you remove that board it's an ordinary laptop drive connector? Cool, I can use regular laptop optical drives too. :D A G4 with dual slotloading drives on the front would be awesome. I could replace the eject button with activity LEDs. Can you use tinyurl, please? :p The link is...

iMac Slotload Optical Drives in G4 Tower?

That's what I was thinking. I just need to know where to hack it onto. And I'd rather plug in a ATA cable, then make something else for power. Looking the actual cable and how it's cut off to go to the HDD, I could plug an ATA cable in off to the side and make an adaptor for the power.

iMac Slotload Optical Drives in G4 Tower?

What would need to be done to the iMac slotload CD and DVD drives to use them in on a regular IDE bus? Plug the IDE connector in off-centered and make a power adaptor?

    G4 Sleep Issue (Issue Fixed)

I fixed it. There's a reed switch below the speaker inside. There's a magnet by the airport slot. I simply pried off the magnet and stuck it above the reed switch, and voila! Sleep! Thanks to a little help from #68kMLA getting me a link of course to some info.

    G4 Sleep Issue (Issue Fixed)

Yup, it's in the original case. I got it without a power supply, so I simply wired up a PC one.

    G4 Sleep Issue (Issue Fixed)

My Sawtooth won't sleep. It has a PC power spply, and when I try to put it into sleep mode, it says the case is open. Even though it's closed. Is there any way to bypass whatever the switch it with software so I can make it sleep?

    G4 and more!

It started on Wednessday. I picked up a Dell Latitude C600 (no drives, battery, or RAM), Inspiron 4000 (no drives, battery, or RAM), and an IBM ThinkPad 365ED (some broken plastics, no HDD) from the local college surplus for $1 each. Then yesterday I got an IBM PS/2 and a custom built 766MHz...

    ADB on a Yikes! G4?

Let me know how it goes. I just got my hands on a 350MHz Yikes, and I'd love to use my Kensington TurboMouse 5.0 on it. Edit: Nevermind, I realized mine was a Sawtooth. :p

    Wedge or Teardrop?

Hehe, if I ever come across a non working puck mouse, I'll do that. I just can't destroy working Apple hardware. :p

    Wedge or Teardrop?

I do! What's wrong with the puck mice? They match the G3 iMacs. I haven't seen another mouse that matches my Tangerine trayloader as well as the puck mice do. I prefer the later ones with the indent though. Between the ADB I or ADB II, I prefer the ADB I. It's more clicky. :p Over the...

Well, John8520 mentioned to me in IRC that the Radius control panel allows you to rotate a regular monitor. Is there anywhere I can download it?

    w00t!

It's pretty much a brown box with pictures and writing in black on it. It boots up and has some games on it. I had to stick it back in the box though as I don't have any room now, I'll have to clean up this weekend. The sofa is covered in stuff. :D
