Hello MLAers! We've re-enabled auto-approval for accounts. If you are still waiting on account approval, please check this thread for more information.
The integrated graphics isn't really a problem unless you do hardcore gaming.
On the RAM issue, though, I strongly recommend you max it out - Leopard likes RAM a lot! Even my 2.8GHz Core 2 Duo iMac with 1033MHz frontside bus runs faster in Leopard with maxed out RAM (4GB) than the default...
VueScan is a terrific piece of software that supports hundreds of scanners. It appears to support the Scanpartner 300C:

You could try Googling for Fujitsu's own drivers, and I suppose it's possible if you have Photoshop that its built-in TWAIN...
Are you sure both files aren't really the same file, just obtained from two different sources? I don't know where you got them, but many old files like that on the internet all ultimately come from the same original source.
Oops, didn't know the Classic in your sig was your only Mac. That does...
Two guesses as to what the problem is:
(1) The file is corrupt
OR
(2) While Photoshop 1.0 is an old app, the Stuffit archive might have been created by someone more recently, using Stuffit 5 or later. Stuffit 4 will not open some .sit files created with later versions of Stuffit.
Try...
Actually, the 700MHz iMac G3's did come with 60GB HDs. And judging from the feel of the screws when I removed the bottom plastic casing, I'm guessing the machine hasn't been taken apart before.
As for disassembly, the slot-loaders are a bit easier to take apart than the Rev A-D tray loaders.
I...
I didn't realize that - wow! [:)] ]'>
Before I consider selling it, though, I've gotta fix that optical drive. I was just looking at the Service Manual, which says that if the bottom plastic casing is removed and not put back on exactly right, it can prevent discs from ejecting. So I'm...
Normally don't pay for these, but for $15 I couldn't resist:
- Graphite iMac G3/700MHz
- 60GB HD
- CD-RW drive
- ATI Rage 128 Ultra graphics with 16MB VRAM
- White Apple Pro Keyboard
It didn't have any RAM, but I had 192MB worth of SDRAM lying around that I've put into it.
The only other...
True, but if the 8GB limit is actually a decimal limit rather than a binary one (and I have no idea if it is or not), then 7.95GiB (binary) will most definitely exceed 8GB (decimal). By my reckoning, 8GB is about 7.45GiB.

Because of the difference between binary and decimal Gigabytes (1.000 GB vs. 1.024 GB), I would recommend making your first partition no larger than 7.4GB.
Best,
Matt
Quadramac,
Since you have internet access, why not download the free Stuffit Expander version 5?
Here's one place to get it:

I'm guessing that the .bin file format it's in can be decoded and decompressed by your existing Stuffit Expander version 4...
7.6.1 - fast and stable, and I was very surprised to see, when I'd disabled unnecessary stuff, that it runs in less than 3MB RAM on my Color Classic.

Please do reveal the answer. If it's indeed a SIMM (as opposed to a DIMM), then I would guess an L2 cache from a 6100/7100/8100. Though to me it actually looks a bit more like a cache DIMM from a 6400/6500.
