The SE does indeed support 3 bit color. It was put there to support the color ribbon in the ImageWriter II. So you could print some thing in color but could not see them in color on the SE.

Does it read and write 1.2MB floppies or does it just read and write 360 K floppies?

Humm. The cost of say 3 4 gig SCSI drives vs a FiberChannel switch? I couldn't justify the cost of a Fiber Channel environment for work. They ain't cheap! Just buy individual SCSI dreives for each machine and hook up AppleTalk.

What happens if you hook up three USB floppy drives on a USB equiped Mac? I've only had one on an iMac.

The only way to do it is to set up a shared drive over a network. It will physically be attached to a single Mac but the drive will apear on the other Macs desktops.
