Since this was my old card.. with my Mac->Vga adapter.. Once I installed the Radiusware drivers, the resolutions showed up. I'm almost positive its my monitor adapter, since I get the same resolutions with all of my Macs (640x480, 832x624, 1024x768). With the Radiusware, you change it via...
^ The ones I ended up buying in the link at the top don't work at all! The foam is way too dense and the keys don't feel right (and don't work anyways). Sadly, the ones that were $3 a pop worked perfectly and now I have a 80% non-functional keyboard :( . The seller said he'd make it right...
When I had to finally fix my keyboard, it was a waterfall effect. Only a few keys were broken, and after I took off the PCB and started replacing those pads, then more degraded to the point where the keys stopped working. Now I replaced all of the foam pads with a complete set that DOESN'T...
I found some VERY interesting stuff... One person kept a meticulous list of every mac he owned, including where he bought the systems and/or parts and what programs were on each machine. I think he had around 30 Macs. One of my other machines was used by the Public Relations department of the...
UPDATE.. I re-seated the ram and vram, works good as new. Has 20mb installed and maxed out vram, since it does millions of colors @ 800x600. Has a 230mb HDD (which is a bit noisy) with System 7.5. I'd say this was a success!
This is the Quadra 700 that was recently on eBay for $100. So I will admit now that it arrived and I've assessed the most serious potential situation, an exploded battery (which isn't :) ), I was the buyer. Its at work with me, so I haven't had a chance to dig in and test anything yet, but...
Oh awesome, YOU have just saved me a TON of money and time. I did buy some of the very expensive, factory made ones, since I thought I just needed a couple to repair a few bad keys. Turns out, after I dug in a bit, more keys kept breaking since those foam pads are so fragile at this point. I...
^ Apparently eBay can and will read any comments that come to you via that form. If there is any indication of an outside sale, they will immediately ban you.
Unfortunately that did not work either. Very odd, but it must be its detecting the total size of the drive and refusing to use it, even though its in smaller chunks. Oh well, SCSI2SD time.
So.. I've been building up the 'ultimate' IIci, and i'm almost there. My selection of SCSI HDD's is limited these days, and all I have left is larger drives (9gb or more) besides the 500mb Apple drive I currently have in the system (which is very noisy and slow). I have a 9gb drive in an...
I can confirm, on my SE/30 that was pretty yellowed, I had it sitting on a shelf in front of a sunny window. Parts of it are now WHITE where the sun was hitting it. Now I want to just do the whole thing to make it even, but yes I was surprised as I thought certain types of UV light were...
Funny story.. yes, as much as I'd love to keep both, there are other things I want to buy (NeXT boxes! More Macs!), so I decided to part with one of them. Someone bought it and then emailed me in a panic saying they thought it was the model with Twiggy drives and got Widget and Twiggy confused...
Those widget drives are even more rare than the Lisa's, there just is/never will be anything directly compatible (besides an aftermarket 'Sun Remarketing' 20mb drive, but I believe it only works under Macworks. You can also go the Xprofile route that someone mentioned, but its close to $400...
