Apple III just lost the -5V rail completely, all other voltages fine

I figured that would be your answer - good for you :)

Apple III just lost the -5V rail completely, all other voltages fine

I know this is kind of admitting defeat, but get the ReactiveMicro replacement supply. So nice not to have to worry about power problems!

Apple II Plus inside an IBM clone case?!?

I know there were external keyboards made for the Apple ][ machines since I've owned two (and still have one) so it doesn't surprise me that these kind of builds exist. Done nicely, I think it's kind of cool, sort of like the "build your own Mac and save a bundle" thing back in the day. What...

    Lisa/NeoWidEx floppy image

Yup - I'm officially a dope. Changed the lower case "L" to an upper case "I" and DiskCopy was able to see the image and make the disk. Lisa booted up off of it without issue. Now I just need to figure out what all this data coming from the drive is telling me, but I'm often seeing DRIVE READ...

    Lisa/NeoWidEx floppy image

If that turns out to be the issue, I will turn in my "nerd card" in shame :)

    Lisa/NeoWidEx floppy image

@stepleton - I change the type and creator to "dlmg" and "dCpy". When I double-click on the image, it does open DiskCopy 4.2, but it doesn't open with the image loaded - it's sitting at the screen where you select an image to copy. When I do that, the NeoWidEx image is not shown in the open file...

    Lisa/NeoWidEx floppy image

I've tried to make an actual floppy from the DC42 image file on the NeoWidEx GitHub site, but even after adding the type/creator codes, DiskCopy 4.2 doesn't understand it. I know that @stepleton says it should be a good image for FloppyEmu, but I'd like to have an actual floppy "just in case"...

400k floppy drive glitchfest (flashing warning?)

Agreed that seems more like a software problem than a hardware problem... unless there's some kind of glitch in the electronics of the drive itself...

    Outbound laptop internal docking cable

@trag - thanks for the info. I figured when @cheesestraws started asking about the cable he must have come across the card one way or another. If you need some SE ROMs I can probably help you out with that.

De-serialize Lisa System and Lisa Office Diskettes

I thought it was just the application disks that needed deserialization, and that the OS disks did not, but it's been a while and I could be wrong...

    cheesestraws' conquests (cheesequests?)

Nice that you got the keyboard - I have one for mine as well. Always wondered if there was a branded Daystar mouse.

Do I need phonenet adapters to use an AsanteTalk?

A serial cable should be fine. Agreed that Asantetalk is OK, but not great. If you can't spare a whole machine for this, look for a Shiva Fastpath 5. A little obscure to configure, but mine has been bulletproof. Better yet, it will do Appletalk/IP routing, so you can get your localtalk machines...

I'll put up my hand for that 3.5" Apple II disk, if they are looking for homes.

    Scutboy's Stuff

Been a while since I've posted a "conquest" but this came today and I'm a happy boy. It has a chip in the one corner, but I don't really care :-)
