Thanks for your work :) When you say the other is more robust, does that mean the Vonets will loose connection to the router more often or otherwise be less reliable?
I would like to add this wifi to my Compact Macs, but the Vonets VM300 Wi-Fi Module seems not to be available anymore. Are there other similar WIFI modules that may work?
Has anyone formatted a SCSI2SD drive with FAT16 and had it recognized in OS7?
I tried formatting in Terminal using "sudo newfs_msdos -F 16 /dev/disk3", but OS7 was not able to see it.. (using SCSI2SD v6 via usb).
If this was possible then one could just use a usb-cable and SCSI2SD v6 to...
You are right. When I change to 256 colors the graphics of pictures and and the clarity of the letters on the desktop got better.
When I upgraded I used the disks for OS7.5.3 that are on the internet. (don´t remember the exact link but I have the 19.bin files for the installation, see the...
No. (I dont understand the ipad argument.) Eventhough he has taken screenshots I can see that my colourresolution is way worse than his. Trust me on this..
I am just installing a Farallon EtherMac card in my color classic. i have long been thinking that the grahics on my ColorClassic and comparing my screen shot (by Ipad) to the picture in the link (9nth from above) I can clearly see, apart from the raster effects, that my color resolution is not...
Yes, I forgot to mention i already have PC Exchange on the OS7.5.3 SE/30. Can anyone confirm that it will also see a FAT harddrive?
I guess when PC Exchange was made installing a FAT hardisk in a SE/30 was not too common.. :-)
I am using a SCSI2SD with four drives of 2 Gb each. Would my SE/30 and ColorClassic be able to read one of the drives if I formatted it as FAT16?
I know they can read/write to a zip-100 mb disk which is formatted as FAT16, so I got an idea for networking to my OSX mac if it works..
The title might be misleading: The CD was PERHAPS created on a pc.. (BTW I have an iMac OSX10.11, a G4 running MacOS9.2.2, a ColorClassic, a SE/30 (and a pc) available.)
I have a file structure copied from a CD (ISO 9660 (Joliet)) that contains a lot of .wav-files that do not seem to be recognised in System (OS)7 when I double click on them. They are not seen in the "Open"-window by the applications that are supposed to be able to open .wav files either. I...
Yes, that´s right - it has a special kind of copy protection so that only copying the file doesn´t work. It is only this applicationfile that is important on the disk.
Hi, I have a diskimage of a zip-disk containing an obsolete, registered application. The only way to run this application is to run it from the diskimage on a SCSI2SD drive on my ColorClassic. But the diskimage is only 250mb big and I want to use the full capacity 2Gb of the SCSI2SD drive. Is it...
I have made 2Gb partitions on the SCSI2SD drives and notice another problem on my other classic mac, the SE/30 running OS7.1: in a folder with about 700 .aif files (about 1Gb total size) the scroll bars seem to have disappeared.. But then they appear after a while, so I guess it just needs some...
Thanks, that solved the icons!
For the file associations: if I change the creator type with ResEdit, will I then get special small icons for the .aif files in Finder or will they still be white?
(Edit: on my SE/30 the creator types for .aif files seems to be in order but the icons are still...
Hi,
I made a clone of my MacOS7.1 harddisk installation to a SCSI2SD-drive (using my OS9.2.2 G4) and after that I upgraded my ColorClassic to MacOS7.5.3 with the disks from the internet. Now I have lost the icons for my all applications. They all appear with TextEdit icons... Is it possible to...
