Helllllloooo there, my classic II fan sounds strange. It works fine but sounds like a hard drive (there is no hard drive inside). Has anyone replaced the fan on here or know of a nice compatible/cheap replacement? :?:

I've owned around a dozen compact macs and the classic 1 seems to be the cheapest and most common. Now every single one of them is off the wall in price even if it's broken.

Diablo 2 installs a funny patch on OS 9 now too. It opens but battle.net doesn't recognize the version :( Maybe they just don't care anymore about OS 9

So the board worked, floppy and hard disk both are dead. It is working fine on an EZ135 scsi drive with 7.5. Amazing it still worked

Mine does that too. Plugging headphones in makes it go away. It is coming from the speaker on my LC 1

What comes to mind is that VLC has a DVD decoder built-in. I have played DVDs on machines without them using VLC. You would probably need 10.3 on it and find a compatible version for 10.3. I don't know if that OS can be put on with xpostfacto or not. Sounds like a mission. That should work..

They are fun to draw pictures with in the dark using the backlit screen. The drawing app reminds me of kidpix with stamps and picture inserts. Neat little machines they are
