Mini vMac II (the paid version) is WAYYYY better. Scaling works normally on the nook and 256 colors!! (grays on the nook..duh) It is fantastic! Use/play just about any mac 68k application on the nook.

My LC 1 had the same issue (it eventually died altogether) but the problem was some leaking caps around the speaker. When plugged headphones in, the noise went away and was barely audible from the headphones.

Hmmm I wonder why it didn't fit my 280c. Well, they are all gone now so I can't try again. It was one of the first things I wanted to try when I accidentally put them next to each other on the table.

I tried a 2300c screen on a 280c base and the connector doesn't match up. It made me very sad.

That helps with almost any smell. In Illinois, no smoking is allowed in bars or pretty much anywhere. Some bar owners spray this to mask the smoke in case someone makes a complaint and the police come. It works AWESOME. It's cheap at Walmart. I'd spray the heck out of it.

you are correct, this is a really old gun and it used to belong to my dad which I always thought was 45W (I don't know much about solder guns :p ) Hopefully this works and this isn't permanent.

For kicks I tried facing the imac screen against the CRT neck and it did the same little flicker during the degauss, still crooked. Bummer!

I brought out my iMac G3 and put it screen to screen with the SE/30. When I turned the G3 on, I saw it degauss the little screen. I thought it worked for sure since the screen contracted. I repeated it several times and it still is the same shape. Maybe I need a real degaussing wand
