Hello MLAers! We've re-enabled auto-approval for accounts. If you are still waiting on account approval, please check this thread for more information.
I just received today my digikey order, and I should receive my jlcpcb in the evening. So in the nest 10 days I should be able to let you know what is the status of the project and if I need a new revision of the board before getting to to the final version.
I'l let you know soon !
Did you have a look here : https://www.abebooks.com/servlet/SearchResults?cm_sp=SearchF-_-topnav-_-Results&ds=20&kn=Macintosh Family Hardware Reference&sts=t ? :)
The only other solution I see would be to design the board for internal use, and get power form the molex connector. But that would mean that people will have to mount the board inside tue Mac, and as you already chose a case I guess that’s a no go.
Btw it’s really interesting what you found...
You’re completely right. But I assume these are the official specs and that most usb wall chargers that are able to deliver 1A and more will deliver it without negotiations. (Maybe I’m mistaking ?)
You could manage to get power from USB, so you could easily remove the jack :)
I also added a double DB25 port to be able to daisy chain the board, I used this one : https://www.digikey.fr/product-detail/fr/adam-tech/DPD-25-00-B3/2057-DPD-25-00-B3-ND/9833611
You can have a look at 68net...
Cool project ! I hope to design such a thing when I finished a wired (ethernet) version for the 68k machines.
I don't own such a machine as your powerbook but I had a quick look at your design. Be careful with the traces going under the antenna, you should avoid that. Maybe try to move the ESP...
I agree this is super weird.
I'm sure I am the one who did this to the case. I dismounted the mac, remove the back screw of the CRT, and then put back the exact same screw (and the same CRT)) and when I finished assembling the mac back I saw this little bump.
It's super weird that the screw...
Nothing prevents you to plug 68net to a raspi via ethernet. You can then have an AppleShare server on the raspi, and the raspi could bridge ethernet to wifi/internet. This is quite easy.
I'm not sure to understand what the problem would be ?
Thanks :)
Making different PCBs for each Mac would not make a lot of sense. But I'm working on 3D files to fit the board internally (at least for the SE/30 as it's the only compact Mac I have (yet :p) ). I'm also working on a little adapter 50 pin -> DB25 to connect to the internal SCSI...
In fact I'm not actually sure where I should remove the glue. Could anyone tell me exactly which glue should I remove before rotating the yoke ? Thanks.

Hi everyone,
After opening my SE/30 to mount my SCSI2SD and reclosing the case I noticed that the image displayed on the screen was a little bit rotated compared to before opening the case. You case see attached picture to see. (Both images were taken after the rotation).
What could be the...
Thanks for the hint ! Really happy that you made me learn something today :)
But I'm still wondering why they don't specify a max mean current for each package in their datasheet though.
Thanks for your feedback ! I ordered the boards yesterday from jlcpcb, so I'll have to try first with the MIC5319. But I'm preparing a new design with the MCP1825 according to your advice :) .
Out of curiosity how did you compute the ~100C temperature ? I would be interested to be able...
