That was a somewhat common upgrade. There's even a how-to in the first Larry Pina book.

Yup. It should show ALL bootable volumes it finds. Hard drives, firewire devices, optical discs. Not sure if it show network boot options but holding down N should boot from a netboot server,. So, if it isn't in the boot picker, it doesn't see it as bootable.

I don't think I've ever seen an Apple color monitor like that.

Refresh the solder on the two analog board connectors (the one to the yoke and the one to the logic board). That should bring the picture back, at least.

:lol: Well, anything in "classic" Mac land is half-foreign these days. Anymore, I just forget about any modern convenience and load the machine to stock config. If I want something newer, I just use a newer machine.

Why not use your TAM restore CD to make it "original" on that partition? Also, shouldn't this go in the PPC forum?

Rob Blessin of Black Hole (NeXT gear) mentioned on the nextcomputers.org forums that he bought a bunch of Adtron flash drives.

I ended up with a 6-foot DB15 to 13W3 cable made for the color two-page display. It works on my Portrait. I'm told it will work with Mono two-page and Portrait displays but the mono cables will not work with the color two-page.
