Hello MLAers! We've re-enabled auto-approval for accounts. If you are still waiting on account approval, please check this thread for more information.
Hmm, I seem to remember reading about this. Leave it with me...
Edit: I've updated the Cite extension, and it seems to be working now. Please let me know if you notice any more problems with it.
Yes, certainly do report any errors you notice on the forums. It is helpful for me to be able to check them out, even if they're just a slight glitch in the server – as this seems to have been.
As iMac600 said, the Bug Tracker thread is probably a better place to do it rather than starting new...
HTTP 500 errors are server related, so I guess it was just a temporary glitch with the server. I wouldn't worry about it, but please do report any further occurrences to me either here or via PM/e-mail.
Cheers [:o)] ]'>
Which error code was it, and which page were you trying to view?
Everything seems fine now, so I guess it was just a temporary glitch...
Edit: Just checked the server error log, and there's nothing recorded for your IP at the time you specified...
OK, should be fixed now. I redirected the forum FAQ over to the new About page I created on the Wiki. However I forgot the BBCode FAQ lived on a sub-page of the FAQ which would also be redirected. I've removed the redirect for the time being, so the page is back.
Sorry for the inconvenience...
Yeah, when the domain was renewed, the nameserver addresses got reset, so they no longer pointed at the server. It took us a bit to notice and get it changed back [:o)] ]'>
I haven't noticed any down time over the last few days. Are you sure your bookmarks are pointing at the right place? Before the Great Forum Crash of 2007 the URIs were in the form of:
http://68kmla.org/viewtopic.php?t=XXXX
http://68kmla.org/search.php?search_id=newposts
Whereas, now they are...
You should be able to do it from the Terminal in OS X with the following command:
hdiutil convert file.dmg -format RdWr -o file.img
Replace "file.dmg" with the path to your .dmg (you can just drag the file onto the Terminal window to automatically put in the path) and "file.img" with the path...
The SE/30 is B&W -- though it can be made grayscale with a somewhat rare, 3rd party, upgrade. I guess the system requirements are wrong [:o)] ]'>
Yeah, there's a bit of nifty Apache mod_rewire trickery going on to redirect the .net to the .com until the DNS records fully propagate. Once that happens, I'll do the opposite -- so the forums will be at .net and any request to the .com will redirect.
When the .net was renewed yesterday the nameservers got reset to their default values, and hence no longer pointed at the forum's host. I mapped 68kmla.com over as a temporary measure until we got it sorted and hence the forums have actually been up the whole time!
The nameserver addresses were...
Right, somehow the nameservers got changed up when the domain was renewed which is what caused it to show the parking page.
This has now been corrected, so everything should be back to normal when the new DNS addresses propagate -- which should be within 24hrs. I will leave the site up at...
