I spot my debit card on that receipt.

I picked up something rather interesting today...

The other thing is that replacing phonebooks with Minitels is cheaper in the long run. Definitely not in the short run, but most likely in the long run. You'd only have to distribute the Minitels once instead of the phonebooks every year.

    Score! A Thinkpad T60!

My roommate's T61p has the 9-cell... doesn't really stick out too far.

    Laserjet 4 M Plus for $7!

I'm telling you John8520, we should have nabbed the pallet of 850 lunch trays that time... Nice score though.

    Mid '90s Multimedia Stuff

Whoa... that Agfa reminds me of the Logitech camera from the early 90s that John8520 and I found at ECU surplus and forgot to mention... I forget the name, but it was really really weird looking.

    Dual 450 Gigabit Ethernet

Went to ECU surplus today with John8520, and we both got for $30 each dual 450 GBEs with no RAM/HD (but we have them), DVD-ROM in mine, DVD-RAM in his, SCSI in mine, and Zips in both. Mine also had a working PRAM battery.

    Driver's License!

Yeah no kidding. That's about what I'm paying on a 7 year old car at the age of 18. Though I hear my rates are supposed to drop since I'm a full time student now...

    Palm III & cradle

Yeah, you probably have old batteries.. I very distinctly recall my 650 having incredible battery life. It usually lasted a week with quite high usage for me.

350mhz Sawtooth for 25 bucks, with a surprise.

Practically none unless you have software that uses AltiVec.

    6500 ROM Secret

I've heard that the same thing can be done with the SGI ROMs.

    Palm III & cradle

You can use later SDKs just fine as long as you aren't calling functions that aren't in 3.5.

    Low-Level Screen Dump

I'm not sure how it could be done, as the cursor is implemented at a hardware level by the GPU, hence why it doesn't appear in screenshots.

    Mac Monitor for $5!

MS15s are pretty decent displays. Sadly mine has an unstable image (it very very slightly shifts up and down while using it), so I use the MUCH better IBM P50 (similar in age, but it uses a Sony Trinitron tube, and its designed to handle resolutions up to 1280x1024) with an adapter.

    New Monitor

Cory happens to be a good friend of mine, and a fellow IRC op.

    New Monitor

I don't actually know, but whoever made it, made a very good panel.
