    Free iBook Clamshell

Damn, that's the kind of stuff Durham residents leave on the curb? I must be in the wrong town.

    Ever Heard of cc:Mail?

I've heard of it. It was replaced with Domino and Notes, but I know some companies were stragglers with it.

    Apple ][ cards!

Language card is only useful if you have a II or II+, the later models have that integrated. I still need to dig through my A2 stuff at my mom's house in Raleigh.

    Spectre GCR

Good catch, nabbed those. Let's hope the seller doesn't do what the Specte GCR seller did and mail it first class when the auction clearly stated Priority Mail. Ugh. I hate when sellers do that. It's not even the extra day that bothers me, it's that the auction said Priority and charged Priority...

    Spectre GCR

Arrived today, no go. Suspect the pirate ROMs in it are bad. Anyone want to sell me a set of ROMs out of a Plus? Any revision is fine.

    Fractal Design: Detailer

This is reminding me of my friend who works for Canvas on Demand customer service. You wouldn't believe how many emails they get from old ladies who took an incredibly blurry screen photo of a CRT showing Windows XP asking "can you put this on a canvas?"

    Skye Green's Conquests

That's what they do when the PRAM battery dies.

    Spectre GCR

I bought one of these off of eBay. No idea if it has the ROMs in it, but it allegedly works, so it probably does. It's going to be entertaining seeing this thing running on my Mega ST4, just like Mac OS 7.6.1 on my Amiga 1200 with a 40 MHz 68030... Luckily, the software was easy to find.

Not much of a "conquest" since it was from another member...

I might be interested in one of the Quadras if you're willing to ship (costs all paid by myself of course) to here...

    OLPC XO-1

SDIO is actually *incredibly* common as a way of interfacing wifi chips in smartphones and tablets. The tablet Atom chips were designed as kind of drop-in replacements for ARM SoCs, hence their use of SDIO for the wifi interface.

    haplain's never-ending quest

Schematics for the logic board for a G5-based PowerBook prototype exist, dated Feb 23, 2004. I'm just going to say they're out there if you look under Q51. Power consumption numbers can be found on the third page, and they are absurd at 113W. My guess was that they went through the trouble of...

    haplain's never-ending quest

I have full Q51 schematics. They're NOT hard to find. Q51 was definitely a G5-based design.

Found this: http://www.elvikom.pl/forum/viewtopic.php?p=86420 Edit: I'll let this forum draw their conclusions from this schematic, but I already know what it means...

    A Vintage PC...

Nope, because it was already built into the motherboard.

    Sonnet Tempo SATA PCI card

It's neither. The Sonnet cards (both PATA and SATA) have a driver in their ROM that presents itself as a SCSI card for maximum compatibility with older Mac OS versions. (They work as far back as 7.5.2)
