I was recently thinking about the sidebar in the 2004 builds of Windows Longhorn and thought about how a file manager using this system would work. I imagine it being something like a tool to navigate through files quickly. You could click a little arrow on the left or right of the desktop to...
Oh well... :( I would recommend SymbOS for porting, but the source isn't available and it doesn't look like it can be ported to anything other than a Z80. :'(
Still, it would be nice to be able to boot into a fast OS once in a while for simple tasks such as word processing without all that...
I might try to create world 3 of my super awesome 3D haven't-started-yet game using Blender on an LC. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll ever get around to doing so.
I highly doubt you'll be able to find a publisher. If you can't, just release the game as shareware and put box and manual printouts in PDF or PICT format.
Oh, I also have one more question to ask you. Will the game be in color? Will it support multiple color modes, like 4, 16, 256, thousands...
I actually did! I just got a monitor for mine, and installed The Even More Incredible Machine. I've been experimenting with ways to eke the most performance out of the game. So far, I've found that running it in Black & White under Sys. 7 with the accelerator card turned on produced the best...
Soooo... What's the status on this project? Any screenshots or demos planned in the near future? Have you even started to write it? And most importantly, will there be a version for the Classic II? :'( I don't have an SE\30. But I do have an LC with a Daystar 030 accelerator card. 8-)
This...
Can I pleeeeeeeeeese have one of your GSes? I've always wanted one! [:(] ]'> By the way, does a mac keyboard with all the function keys work with a GS? I'm assuming a Mac Monitor does as well. I want to get as barebones a GS as possible so I can have one on the cheap.
A few months ago I realized that although Amiga and Atari Falcon have had 060 accelerator cards made for them in the past, no mac or accelerator card for one has used the 68060 chip. This was probably due to the jump to Power PC and all, but can you imagine how awesome your 020 or 030 based mac...
...But it did come with an accelerator card! So instead of a slow 16Mhz machine, I've got a fast 33Mhz 030 computer. But now I read about Daystar's accelerator card for 030 machines that gives 040 power. Now I wish I could use that. :'( Oh well, at least it works for me.
