Net Trek 3.0
You can find it around on the internet. Email the creator and he may send you a copy!
I used to play it at school with a bunch of other kids. It was great fun!
Something comes to mind about extensions conflicting. I think I remember situations like that happening back in the days of system 7 and 8 where I'd install something new and everything would go wacko and I believe that is one example.
If you don't have it, pickup conflict manager, install and...
Time for some follow up.
Apparently it doesn't like my VGA adapters, or the cables, or LCD monitors. The same applies to my Duo Dock now. Now the green is shifted oddly with the Dock in addition to the IIfx fading issues. I thought I had two bum units!
So after getting a little pissed, I...
Wow. I had one of those years ago but never found a use for it so it found another home.
Think it has 30pin RAM with the original FH 5.25" 40MB drive. Nothing else as interesting as yours though from what I remember. It apparently ran for years without any problem until the company upgraded...
I'm a little confused as to how this happened but maybe someone here can help.
My original setup was my IIfx next to my mini, where I could use the same LCD monitor and it worked fine. I hadn't used it for a while, but it remained plugged in (the VGA had to be unplugged from the LCD while the...
I've been looking for a CD-ROM drive equipped 68k mac...and now I have one!
LC630 with 20MB RAM, and a 230MB HD. Pretty clean and came with keyboard, mouse, and 15" Multiscan monitor (yes it does have the weird VGA to Mac cable)).
The only thing I noticed is an audible high pitch noise from...
Nice find. They use a specific adapter so you will need to find the adapter on ebay or LEM.
The 5300 also sues the same adapter but no other model does.
Is there a system on it now? Will it read any other disks?
If not, it is probably not the disks and more than likely the drive itself. If it does see the disks when booted by whatever is on the hard drive, then it is probably a weird issue with a bad PRAM battery.
True, and there are 2 of the sticks! I can max another G3 Pismo or G4 Ti.
Another thing that I have been waiting for in the mail:
230MB MO Internal Drive for a Powerbook 5300/190
Untested and I need to find a disk (ebay wants like $20 each shipped).
Still, never seen one so it would be just...
I may be wrong on this, but there are a lot more Mac IIfx units then working Mac II or IIx out in the wild.
From my point of view where I have seen a few IIfx units but no IIx or II's that I would keep the mac II as is and look for another parts machine elsewhere. I'd love to see an intact...
A small conquest for me (it has been a while).
Original Airport Card, 2 512MB SD-RAM SO-DIMM, and a 60GB Fujitsu Hard Drive.
Grand total: $15
Apparently all were pulled from a Titanium.
Yeah, everything was Narrow SCSI back when. The internal is completely different then what you have pictured. What you have is for a desktop.
The laptop internal SCSI is a 40pin connector and to find an adapter you either have to make it yourself, or fork out $100+ on ebay. There is also this...
Nice find. I've been looking for one without too much luck.
As for upgrades, well they are hard to come by.
The RAM card is a hit and miss on ebay and LEM (I found a 36MB card on ebay).
The hard drive uses a portable SCSI. They have not made anything bigger than 1GB unless you are lucky and...
I'd keep it for parts. It is difficult to come by older LCDs from the 280. If you happen to damage the working version on your 280c then you will have a backup. I know I certainly wish I had a backup LCD for my 2300 that got damaged.
