    1.5 GHz G4 Mac Mini and OS9

Yes! I have the patched version of OS 9 on my G4 mini... Its great, if you can put aside a few things... Volume of output jack is all the way up, and needs to be controlled from external device (speaker /w volume knob). No wireless -  There are no drivers for OS 9.  E-net works fine. Apple...

    Best joystick for Mac Plus?

I have a Atari cx 80 trak-ball that I want to look at, to use as a mouse trackball, but I haven’t gotten to it yet.... With any luck, it’ll just need a DB 9 gender changer, but I don’t want to do that without checking the pin out.

Incorrect time on Mac Mini G4

The only thing I can think of, is take it apart and re-seat all the connections, and inspect everything along the way. And maybe check the thermal grease.  Also, concerning the shut down, could it be a software issue? Have you tried to boot off A different startup disk on FireWire or a CD?  I...

    Mac OS 9 & SSDs?

I put a mSATA to 44 pin ide adapter in a Mac mini G4 with a ATA 100 bus, running OS 9.2.2 and it seems to work fine. Is there anything that you want me to test on it? Or “give it a try”? It’s an experiment anyway, and of 120gb, I have 118gb left. That old stuff doesn’t take up much space. ...

PCI SATA card for Blue & White?

I agree. Acard that ends in M, is for Me-axe (Apple Macintosh, not Microsoft, .... that’s how Microsoft people pronounce it). if the model # is xxxxxxM, it’ll work when you build it into your “macs”

    Preventive recap Mac 128k & 512k

All caps will go bad, maybe with the exception of ceramic...... They are supposed to block DC, but after time, they will allow it through, turning it into a resistor.  When it does this, it is called a leaky capacitor, because it is leaking DC. .... Not only electrolytic fluid leaks!

    6100/66 is very unstable

Show pictures of the board.  Did you check Apple System Profiler? Is it a really running at 66, or has it been overclocked with a clip oscillator? And, yes, put a fan into the square part of the heatsink, with the air blowing out to remove heat, not in, to blow air onto the heatsink.

    Preventive recap Mac 128k & 512k

You might want to look at the link I posted in my last comment. You’ll find all the pieces to get a new jack & connector in there, or do what I did, and remove it entirely, soldering the wires directly to the board.
