Are you sure this is true? I've never owned a IIvx, but I didn't think Apple had tray loading CD-ROM drives around the time it was released. I thought those came out around the time the PowerPCs were released. Also, the original Apple brochure for the IIvx show it with a slot loading drive.

Quadra 800? Ack! Worse case design of the 68k line though. Even worse than the 840av because the cables are spread all over the motherboard instead of the top edge. But I *love* the look of it. IIcx! Now THAT is a great Mac!

I have a 256MB flashed 6200 in my G4. It's been great so far, although I'm not much of a gamer. Google Earth is about as hard as I stress the thing.

You know, I just thought of something - the DOS card originally made for the Quadra 610 works in the 700. That's another use for the PDS slot.

Who made the cache card for the 700? I never knew anyone made such a thing.

blackbird - the CD I have was specifically for the PowerCD by Apple. I'm not sure how useful it'd be without the drive. Heck, I'm not sure how useful it is *with* the drive. AF - I didn't have the PowerCD when it was new, so I'm not sure if this is the only CD that came with it, or just one of...
