The built in AV capabilities of the 840AV aren't going to give you what you're looking for. My recommendation is to get a hold of a SpigotPro AV - that'll give you a good frame rate at a reasonable resolution.
::edit - it's a SpigotPro AV, not a SpigotPower AV as I said.::
I understand where Mac128 is coming from - I thought the 400KB floppy drive used a completely *different* process to read data from a disk. Seems to me that a 400KB wouldn't look at an 800KB disk much different than a PB&J sandwich, let alone get data from it. :)
Does anyone know the Pantone color equivalent of Platinum? I have some Platinum Macs that I'd like to repaint, but am having difficulty finding paint to match the original color. Vinyl Die would be even better, but that seems even more limited in color options.
I'm unfamiliar with Norton - how much faster is "8 points"? If it's a reasonably small amount, there are tons of things that can account for the difference.
For some reason I have a soft spot for the original line that was released: the 100, 140, and 170.
I like the 100 because it's the only one that'll run System 6. Beyond that I really like my 170. It's a 6 pound black and white IIci! :)
You see, that's a great idea. But our list moderator strictly forbids people from making requests for electronic equipment. I tried to explain that this stuff has value essentially only to me, but he doesn't want to listen.
What? You guys are nuts. If it can run System 6, there's no reason to put System 7 on it. :)
Yeah I know, you can browse the web with 7, but who in their right mind is gonna use an LC II for browsing anyway?
I know how to get an LCD to work with a TTL interface - a lot of LCDs built for industrial applications support TTL for older setups. One company even makes an adapter that takes a TTL input and converts it to a standard VGA signal.
So maybe there is hope!
Hey all - I've been thinking of a project built around an SE, and had a couple of questions. One of the things I'd like to do is drive an LCD as the primary display, and the obvious way to do this is to obtain a PDS video card. But I'd also like to be able to run early versions of the System...

Down at the bottom there's an area for PCI USB cards for the towers. OWC has always treated me right.
I have the IOGEAR 5 port PCI card for my G4, and it's great. Although I'm running 10.4.
