i did some further testing. my Geforce 2 MMX works to desktop. also runs cinebench on the riser card.
the riser only works with the key forward (3.3v) mode. the rear key is pinned on the riser but not on the cards so... i guess ill cut away those rear pins (1.5v) and see if that changes...
yea the cards are mac and pc - they are all 4x cards. whats strange is that it boots with out a driver. so im thinking it must relate to opengl of some type - some kind of signaling issue perhaps. i know the agp ports are the same from pc to mac but the cable is not keyed as a universal...
the cards work direct in teh port. the riser is a 4X 8X type that sells a lot i guess. i have no other agp system to test with. the cards are both mac cards.
i have three riser cables from various companies, all hongkong so maybe same company. i swear i had it worked at one point but its been a while and now im not sure. Radeon 8500 and ti4600 on a G4 QS board. with the ribbon riser cable installed i will get a boot in os9 with out drivers. can...
its easier if you need to change forum factor. you can build a one off psu easy enough, if your not using ADC you dont NEED the 25v power but again, you can always use a standard ATX - pin it out to the 22 pin apple and then add a second 25v psu off one of its rails or off of 110v to make up the...
well this is where it gets complicated. the mac card for the G5 is very different from the fire x3. the only mac cards i can find for sale back in 2005 were full XT's but with an AGP pro port. it seems the board design was near identical, just took more power from the AGP slot. this is 16...
ive been digging and i think i may have what i need but wanted to check. im planning to buy a x800pro vivo on ebay and here is why. does this sound like it will work? anything i should know?
well ive done a couple days of research here. as i remembered it seems the pro vivo is the only version...
I stupidly took that hard drive out and put it in a different system, now I can't get 9.2 to load. Luckily I made this post so I can reference what I did back then.
The 9200 had problems, it did video acceleration and it also gave me some 3D acceleration but not to the level of performance I...
I have installed a retail version of 10.4.6 as a clean install on my quicksilver. Are there additional drivers that I need from the original restored Disk Operating System to transfer over onto this retail installation?
Want to make sure Mac OS has all the right software for this board
could be i guess, it would surprise me. apple seems fine to go against 'standards', its sorta their thing. why choose this one time to follow them? o.O
lol! we will see... but maybe
im going to work on it sunday, just got my sata card in the mail so thats the next step - then i get my new welder next week and can finish the video card/power supply/sata card mounts.
fiberglass for a new fan shroud and speaker enclosure i hope will be done next...
Yeah I've come to realize that, somewhere around 2001 is where they dropped it. So I'm building a logic controller that will sniff the bus and the encapsulate the packets, from there I can set a transistorized output to trigger a relay and manually close the power switch on the front IO panel.
just when i think im nearing the end of this build... one more road block.
i need my Performa keyboard (from a 6300CD with the single mouse port in the center) to turn on my G4 867Mhz quick silver.
i do not have an ADC video card, from what i have read pins 3/11 on AGP are in some way used to...
