One thing that I cannot find anywhere in any of the source or header files, even from within THINK C 5.0 where this project compiles is the "Ticks" variable. Nowhere does this look to be defined. It's like some kind of THINK C magic variable or something... or it's part of some library that...
Well, if you consider this bad practice, then continue to read, as just a couple lines underneath that, you'll see even worse: One of the variable is named "class". I'm not kidding. But, apparently, the guy who made this is a genius and the app compiles very well under THINK C 5.0 and pulls...
Well, let's do one concrete example. Here's a source code project that I would like to import into CodeWarrior. It runs and compiles fine under THINK C 5.0 but CodeWarrior will not compile it due to a couple syntax errors: https://amendhub.com/jcs/wikipedia
Hi, does anybody know if it's possible to convert a Symantec THINK C 5.0 project into a CodeWarrior project? I tried to drag the .c files over to a new CodeWarrior project and adjusted the include paths and although it mostly wants the .c files, some of them contain code that CodeWarrior does...
Yeah, it's really weird. It doesn't do that under System 7, but does under System 6. Thanks again. Hope this thread serves to somebody else in the future. Good night.
@obsolete OK, you are some kind of IQ 190 genius. It actually worked and I've run a MacTCP app and the Mac Plus is online. Thank you SO much for explaining this to me. I've read countless threads and nowhere was it written that even though the DaynaPort installer says you cannot install, you...
Actually, my first attempt yesterday was via MountImage and it did not work (it worked in the sense that it mounted and I could fire up the installer, but the same error as I described in my previous post occurred). Then, I converted the DaynaPort disk image to an ISO CD image using Toast...
Hi avadondragon, I'm trying to get the same setup going (Mac Plus running System 6.0.8 from a PiSCSI supplying a fake DaynaPort Ethernet driver)
Have you (or anybody else) got any luck in installing the DaynaPort driver on their Mac Plus running System 6.0.8 ? I've had the DaynaPort driver...
From what I can tell, nobody is publicly working on an alternative so I'm really unsure where you read that "lot of people are working on this right now". Seemingly, nobody is. The issue is that it's not as simple as one would think: Even if the LIBRARIES could be recompiled and ultimately...
Yes, well from what I could find last fall, it seems like Banana Pi is too slow (or perhaps it's just the current state of the code that's not optimized enough for that platform) so they ditched the idea? I don't know. Does anybody know what the state of Banana Pi support is? Or Orange Pi? Or...
I will have to agree on that. We need PiSCSI to work with Pi alternatives. I mean WTF am I looking at on AliExpress? This used to cost 10$ three years ago! It's almost retro technology by now, the prices are jacked up as F.
Alright, one more update. I have tried using another LCD monitor (Samsung SyncMaster 941bw). Lo and behold, it actually works, almost like magic! I've got 640x480 at 256 colors depth, no glitches, no refresh bars, smooth as silk. :)
In the manual online, I can see those supported frequencies...
I found the manual for my IBM ThinkVision L171 monitor: http://ps-2.kev009.com/pccbbs/options/l151ab6en.pdf#page=17
Those are its V/H frequencies:
30 - 63 kHz horizontal frequency
56 - 76 Hz vertical frequency
I suspect the issue is that the supported horizontal frequency range is just a tad...
Hi all! Happy new year. I'm new to this forum. I just acquired a Macintosh IIci loaded with a copious 8MB of RAM. It only has onboard video and it didn't come with a monitor so I'm trying to hook it up to a 4:3 IBM ThinkVision (L171) using a Griffin PnP adapter (which both work great when...
