I need a 50 to 25pin adapter for the cord to plug it into my Macintosh Color Classic. I ordered one and got it today but its a tiny 50pin on the adapter and not the large wide 50 pin one like on the CD drive. Where can I get the correct adapter?

I'm located in Rhode Island. If you can take pics and are willing to ship out, I might be interested. I never used a CD-ROM drive like this, I had to order a 50pin SCSI cord for it on Amazon and a 50pin-25pin adapter. If it all works once I get the caddy and cords, I might start to like it. :p

Where can I get a tray loading External CD-ROM Drive SCSI 25pin for my Color Classic? I got the Applecd 300 SCSI 50 pin CD-ROM Drive, but it has no caddy! Is there caddys online for this? I don't want to damage my new 7.6.1 CD with it. I really rather just get an external SCSI CD-ROM Drive...

Interesting discussion thanks for all the info. My main goal though is to find a motherboard other than the 575 board that I can put into the 575 chasis. Because the 575 motherboard is going in the Color Classic. I asked about the 6500 motherboard, because I can purchase it online for cheap.

Is there any all-in-one Macs that a 6500 motherboard will plug into? Also will a 580 motherboard plug into a 575?

Well I'm trying to find a motherboard higher then the 575 motherboard that will fit into a Performa 575 without any modification. I'm going to be putting the 575 motherboard in the color classic. :p

Will the 6500 motherboard slide right into a 575?

Thanks for the links, that site is excellent! I'm still waiting to receive the 575 motherboard. I been just getting my Color Classic all ready for the install. Now I should have everything ready for when it comes. I'll post updates once everything is completed. Thanks again! :)

One more question where can I download Enabler 065 v.1. I can't seem to find a working download link anywhere. I plan to install Mac OS 7.6.1 on this system.
