So that didn't help the initial issue, but it actually let me fix my overall problem!
No matter what slot I put the cards in it would only recognize the 7000. However I randomly found one slot where the messed up, unstable picture on the Radeon 7000 was decent enough to let me run the flasher...
I'm trying to flash a PC ATI Radeon 7000 PCI in a B&W G3 and the whole process is driving me nuts.
The latest issue is that the computer is trying to send video to only the PC video card if I boot with it installed. If I boot with just the stock Mac ATI card in the 66 MHz slot everything is...
For future reference, here's the (apparently) only way to get the Pro Pedal drivers:
1) Go on eBay
2) Buy a NIB set of 199x ADB Pro Pedals (still sealed in plastic) for a dumb amount of money
3) Install from the floppy disk in the box
4) Have two sets of ADB Pro Pedals
5) ...
6) Profit?
I'll...
Okay, looking at the archive of the CH page I need the pro pedals control panel (MacProPedals.hqx file on their site) but obviously the file isn't there anymore. Anyone have a copy?
Hmm. Well, I've installed InputSprokets 1.7 (as well as the CH Flightstick control panel) and still can't get the pedals to respond or do anything anywhere. Does anyone know any games that definitely supported the ADB version?
The archive link above sounds like it's specifically referencing the...
The description, at least, seems to specifically call out CH Products, but it's unclear if the (ADB) comment applies to them all or just the trackball. I'll try to find some time later tonight to mess around with it.
Anyone know a game that definitely supports the pedals? GraphSim Hornet, probably?
I picked up a set of CH Products Pedals (ADB connection) and there seems an amazing dearth of information about these out there. Does anyone know what I need to get these working under OS 9.2?
I've got a FlightStick Pro and it's working properly with the FS Pro control panel, but I can't find...
Ah, cool, thanks for correcting my terminology.
Okay, will do some more testing but it sounds like I was good and/or lucky on the track alignment, thanks.
Okay, so you know how you're not supposed to completely disassemble a Mac floppy drive because it messes up the head alignment? Yeah, so I read that *after* I disassembled and lubed the drive. Oops.
Anyway, I think I've got it re-aligned now, but it seems to have been suspiciously easy to do so...
To add, the ZuluSCSI seems fully functional: I powered it via USB, updated the firmware, and from the log file it appears to have loaded my image file correctly.
My Mac Portable has been recapped and boots up fine from floppy or Floppy Emu. It's got a rebuilt lead-acid battery in it that's good as well.
I'm trying to get it to work with ZuluSCSI and no-go. With the ZuluSCSI plugged in nothing happens when I try to start up the machine: no lights on the...
Woohoo - it's fixed!
I ended up getting a single-use tube of silver conductive epoxy from Amazon. Cleaned out the hole a bit and glued the pin in place. Everything is working now.
Thanks for the help, guys.
Okay, from doing a search it looks like folks have fixed this sort of thing with conductive epoxy. I think I've got some lying around from a repair a few years back: will try it and report back.
Well, problem found. One of the pins at the back of the CRT yoke is broken. I missed this when I was looking at it.
The pin came off with the yoke connector. It's busted off a millimeter or two into the glass: I can press it into place, but obviously it's not making a good connection...
So I'm trying to get an old SE/30 running and I'm having strange trouble with the CRT. When the computer first turns on, the screen is super bright and washed out. Then after about a minute it dims to normal, but it continues dimming to the point where after about three minutes it's completely...
