Setting up email, ie4.01, msm, se/30

Sorry Cory i missed your question, yes connect it to outlook.com via imap but pop would be fine. The se/30 is networked to the internet. email on my se/30 was my goal once getting it online. If it isn’t possible I could go through one of my newer machines 6200/6500 of g3 imac as they’ll all on...

Setting up email, ie4.01, msm, se/30

Hi Guys, thanks for replying. I had read email was difficult to get going but when I realised outlook for had SSL encryption I thought I’d give it a try. I set up a free outlook email account as that seemed simplest thing to do. Part of the problem is preferences doesn’t fit on the screen, I...

What is a fair price for this SE/30 (with Ethernet card)?

I can vouch for that, ie4.01 took up over 4 mb just to run, add 7.5.5 system at 2.5mb it just crashed online on my se/30 until i got more ram.  Ps i put in 128mb which is overkill for some but my fetish is desk top publishing on my old mac so 128mb makes the difference on 24bit scans on photoshop 4

The chap mentioned os9 disc was missing from the box so i presume its 9.1 although I have original 8.1, 8.5 and 8.6 upgrade disc anyway as it’s what i brought for upgrading the 6200cd I’m replacing. 8.6 is a nice os fir me and middle ground for a bridge. I have Osx 10.3.9 with 9.x classic...

    6500/275

Yes i have them all networked together se/30 to (at the moment my 6200) and my 6200 to the imac g3 that way i can download and pass through the chain as the se/30 won’t speak directly to the imac, the 6500 is a replacement for the 6200. Yes a ssd might be the way to go to safely back up all my...

    6500/275

I’ve never used one before as my college days were a little earlier with Lc’s and various II’s etc..so hopefully it’ll work great on my network bridging my g3 imac and se/30, my core machine is my SE/30 which i adore using but being so old you do need a newer machine to access the net and do...

    6500/275

It is to replace my 6200 for bridge work, the 6200 with 8.6 on it is painfully slow on macintoshgarden, i mean really slow almost unusable, it needed the later os to get the later browser, i had under estimated what I’d need so yes i will fill it with ram and maybe upgrade the hhd at some point...

Ok so i came across this on eBay for £65 or about $90. Owned from new by seller. Well I brought it, will be collecting tomorrow. Know very little about these machines. SE/30 new ROM and other things

I was lucky my se/30 (without knowing at the time) came with a network card, the seller didn’t know either as he sold my se/30 including card for £60. it’s worth a look there’s been some inventive ways of getting them online so have a search through the site. If you have another mac you can use...
