It doesn't get me to the full desktop with 6.08 just the white bar at the top with no writing or anything else. Looks to me like it is 8MB,  I have attached an image of the RAM and the order they have been in from SIMM1 at bottom to SIMM 4 on top of photo.

No difference unfortunately,  I used "Command Option P R" and it rebooted 4 times after the Welcome's banner was displayed.  Also tried the Shift key and this displayed "extensions off" on the Welcome banner but no change in outcome. I know the disks work as I have used them on other Mac's...

Hi,  where about's are you ?  I am in Melbourne and have this problem which I am thinking is a ROM issue.  I have a Toshiba marked ROM SIMM. If you are in Melbourne you could test on my machine.

Hi all happy to report that I have fixed the issue,  I replaced the Optoisolator (QP1) and DP3 and DP4 as per the advice from bibilit.  I also noticed that the two RIFA capacitors (CP19 & CP38) were severely cracked on the top of their cases so I also replaced those.

Hi, I have a Classic and Classic II. I have a problem with the Classic II analog board that I can't fix. It was leaking caps which I have replaced. The Molex connector on the HDD was reading 4.52 and 11.32 volts on the classic II analog board. On the Classic analog board they are reading 4.98...
