Yeah, I have it at 1280x1024 at the moment as well. OSX also allows 85Hz, so I guess that spec sheet was either wrong or OSX can push it.
EDIT - Oh *man* ! That pop out port is amazing! I would have never found that. Here's a picture for all those that're curious -...
Tonight I set up my gigabit ethernet G4 with my new monitor, and very soon decided to nuke the 10.2.8 install with panther, which is what I happened to have lying around. Anyway, after the first CD it rebooted, normally to go to the HDD and ask for the next one, but it didn't, it went straight...
I spent today helping a friend of a friend move data from his old tower to his new laptop, which is a fairly simple process, of course. After words he asked if I could help carry the monitor out to the street, because he wouldn't be needing it anymore, and he was going to ask around if anyone...
benjgvps, I've yet to purchase a battery as the 2.5hours mine goes for suites me just fine. The guys at the Aspire One user forum have tested almost all of the, and I'm completely sure you could find the most recommended one there.
slimac55, while the Aspire One does come with some crapware...
Yeah no problem! If you have any questions or whatever, feel free to hit me up on AIM or the IRC channel. I've taken mine apart a few times and upgraded its ram, as well as run a handful of operating systems on it. They're surprisingly capable machines; I've found mine to be no less than a...

Congrats! The aspire one is one svelte machine, I picked up a 160/XP/Blue model a few weeks ago and absolutely adore it. The problem I found with running ubuntu on it is that gnome absolutely doesn't work right at all on a screen with a height of 600.
As long as you run XP, this utility is...
Hmmm, this might be the final push I needed to re-cydia-ify my touch; after 2.1 came out I never bothered with doing it again.
Do you have any reports on battery life?
you could run XP in vmware on your macbookpro, then transfer the notes off the pad into your virtual machine, then out of the virtual machine to OSX?
That's probably easiest if you want to both use the mac and crosspad.
Welcome!
Several years ago I got a newton 2100 for just that reason- taking notes and keeping a bit of a journal. Something that lasted about 5 minutes. I write much too small for "ink type" notes to be taken, and way too fast for the software to convert my handwriting, which allows me to write...
Woah, really? I read around about chdk and couldn't find anything definitive, just that they were getting kinda close. Could you direct me to a link or something?
And I'm not at all surprised it's rated best p&s; really amazing camera.
After ~4 years of mooching off either my sister's Nikon D50, my mother's Nikon Collpix-somethingorother, or my father's Olympus ruggedized point and shoot I have finally decided to buy my own camera, with the money I've eared from tutoring thusfarly. What I got is a Cannon PowerShot A590IS...
Yay for wallgreens!

Considering all the random conquests that have been happening recently, I figured this would be worth it.
