I was wondering the same thing, I believe the voltage and amp ratings are the same but I just bought a replacement charger because I didn't want to somewhat mess with the appearance of a working G4 charger.

My first 68k mac, the SE superdrive had many dead spiders inside as well, I hosed down both case pieces.

Good luck, recapped a TDK LC PSU just then, it was 100% lifeless before, now it works fine. When I recap my IIci, hopefully it will work again, it was for the 5 seconds I first powered it on.

Its been a while. I uploaded the last photo on oct 11 but I had the monitor in use since the 5th probably. Here it is now, still reliable with the $14AUD 24v 4a cheap charger from China.

Hi, I got my replacement LCD today and I am wondering how to replace just the LCD panel and not the whole screen assembly, I cant seem to find any documentation about it online, maybe im not digging hard enough.

Well its good to know the list is useful, I will make a list of caps for everything I come across that I cant find online.

Replacement charger came today, my untested g3 is working. Only has 64MB RAM so I need to do an upgrade.

It also supports windows 7 64 bit and apparently can run windows 10 unofficially (to apple anyway) through some sort of upgrade method. 

A lot of these powerbook g4's have a small scratch line or detaching just above dvd drive. Its best to pull back that slightly left center clip properly to avoid damage to the case.  

I don't see any cracks near the hinges, only near the area of the old swollen battery. Also I would like to install an SSD in it not too far from now. 8GB RAM too. Im very surprised at its photoshop performance, does a good job. 

Well that's a much better deal than I got. My macbook had a swollen battery still inside which caused the bottom lid to open, the original user tried to seal it with duct tape.
