    Than you need to take apart and relube the floppy drive.  There is a guide in the wiki.

    Download a copy of WinImage and use it to write this to a standard PC floppy and tell me if it boots.

    No.  The noise when you hit the switch is normal, but the fan doesn’t start until the soft power is pushed. also, svideo cables work for ADB

    Are you pressing the soft powerkey on the keyboard?  You need to do that as well as the switch on the back.

    On my newly recapped SE/30, everything works great, with the exception of the serial ports.  Completely dead.  I tried a looper cable and it didn't work. What should I try first. Thanks!

    Well, yea!  All it needed was a recap and a ROM SIMM and it works great!  Dodged a bullet on trace patching!
