I can't seem to find a working version of Macsbug that works in Finder 4.1. Would anyone have any pointers? I tried one that was supposed to be for 68k machines (MacsBug 6.2.2) but that didn't work. I think I need a really old version.
Thanks in advance.
Alright! I haven't done any "hacking" in a while. I'll try to look through memory first and see if that works. I have never done this on a Mac before but I have been known to snoop around on a PC. A strategically placed NOP would be next but is there any utilities that fit on a 400k disk...
Well, this one came from eBay with no indication it was a HyperDrive Mac 512k other than the metal plate on the front and the sticker on the back that said "HyperDrive" :) It doesn't say HyperDrive 20 because it's the original 10MB version.
Funny thing is that the ad said it boots to a Sad...

I think I may try a washing machine first. It's a bit tattered already so it's no loss if it doesn't come out okay.
I'll let you know how it works out when I get it and can wash it.
I think dry cleaners is the safest bet but do they do bags? I can just see the person at the dry cleaners try to look that one up for a price estimate with a line growing behind me :)
Has anyone cleaned a Mac 128k travel bag before? You know, the beige ones with the Apple logo patch on the front. I bought a Mac 512k with a grungy bag and was hoping someone would know how to clean it. I'd hate to scrap it. Maybe as a last resort, I'll throw it in the washing machine on...
The Internet Archive site has everything (I think) minus the files Sherry made available.
Here's a Torrent to the Internet Archive site:

Once you download that, download Sherry's...
Thanks for posting that CompuNurd. I wasn't ignoring the question. I had assumed the smiley face after Unity's question meant he knew what that was but I shouldn't make assumptions and there may be others who might not know exactly what an Altair is. That acquisition is all about the history...
Yes, everything on the copy of the former http://download.info.apple.com I have is almost 12GB. I'm not exactly sure where I got my copy of the site but i added Sherry's files and it's almost 12GB. I was kinda surprised myself when I checked.
Thanks for that but I read the manual before getting it and even the Wikipedia page tells you about the startup LED colors but mine stays red. I'll wait a while and see what happens. Maybe I didn't wait long enough?
I got a couple of items today to0. My Apple Interactive TV set top box came hat I had purchased from eBay along with a Mits Altair 8800a. Guess which one I opened first? The one that could have an exploding battery in it :)
I hooked it up and got a solid red light and nothing else. It...
