Well I just won a LaserJet 5M on ebay, only 7K pages. Look to be clean and nice and white, unlike the one I have at work that is badly yellowed. Total pice with shipping = $95. Looks like a duplex will run me $50 shipped. No toner with the printer though so that's about another hundred or...
I've decided I want a laser printer for home. Mainly because my HP all-in-one that is a few years old sucks, at least as a printer. If it decides to suck up all the paper at once and then print a little bit on each page, relegating them all to the scrap paper pile, one more time it might just...
I can't believe he still has all that Radius stuff listed! Any profit must have long disappeared in ebay fees. I bought what I think was his second to last StudioArray at least 3 years ago. I still have it though its suffered from mod attempts. For some reason I wanted to remove the...
Have you thought about moving the power supply? The Mach Vs were power hungry. I have a 9600/300* with a 560W power supply.
* For sale...man I need to get around to posting these things in the for sale section. Too many places to post...
Anyone have the driver for this card? ATTO has been no help. I had one before and couldn't get it to work. I can't remember if I didn't have the driver then or if there was something else strange that needed to be done with the card to make it work. Ended up just switching to a FWB...
That reminds me. Wasn't there a PowerComputing model that had a socketed 604e? Maybe it was never produced or I have the wrong company. Anyway how about faster IBM PPC upgrades, single or more processors. They've got to beat a G3 at some speed lol.
I've tried. Didn't work out. For one...
Ok, how about some stories about your routine or one-time Mac scavenging experiences - even if they didn't land you any "conquests".
The reason I bring this up is a few years ago I had one of the best times of my life (some people would say "sadly" but scr*w them!) digging around for computer...
Its just as much fun to try to remember seeing something that fits somebody's wish...even if it turns out you're remembering things that never existed! [:D] ]'>
As in Nubus cards in a PCI Mac or PCI cards in a Nubus Mac? You can do the first if you want to pay for the Second Wave expansion...
That sounds good. I was thinking of an Audiomedia II for Nubus or probably more reasonable, a III for my B&W. I just had no idea what the available software could do. I'll take a look at the programs you mentioned. Thanks!
Thanks. Though I think I'll pass the card on rather than get down to playing with them again myself. Other toys to hold my attention at the moment. If anybody's interested let me know. Be warned it probably works but I can't test.
I know basically nothing about music and sound on the Mac. I also admit to having next to no musical talent. :p I am however interested in possibly doing some real time processing and effects on live voice and maybe some other sounds.
Up until fairly recently I've seen Nubus Digidesign...
A few years ago I knew all about these rare beasts but have forgotten most of it now (hopefully some of the resources I read before are still up somewhere). Anyway, I have one Rocket lying around that I think was missing a processor when I got it. I believe it was a 33 MHz 040 but I remember...
