Hello MLAers! We've re-enabled auto-approval for accounts. If you are still waiting on account approval, please check this thread for more information.
If you follow the 'Deploying the image (using dd)' instructions at https://github.com/unxmaal/aux_sdcard on your 10.4 machine I'm pretty sure it should work just fine.
That was me! and here is the thread:

It works amazingly well and doesn't damage anything inside or even scratch the plastic because the pencils are soft.
You know I'd actually thought about doing this once but never got around to it. Now I feel inspired to get out the old power pack that failed after recap and give it this treatment. As many of the classic power supplies we can keep in circulation the better IMO. In fact I wonder if it...
Not easily and not without the logic board to drive the CRT.
Why don't you open up the mac and show what you actually DO have. I might be interested in it if you'll let it go pretty cheap.
Here's another write up suggesting it could use common VGA displays.
Could you take a picture of the ribbon cable part? Maybe a pic of the underside of the card too. I have a Lapis card that is a year newer than this but can't find any info about it. I'd love if it could output common VGA...
Unfortunately I can't remember what the screen looked like before although I think its was passable. I had pretty much assumed I used too much heat removing the old capacitors so it probably is that. I looked the board over very carefully and I didn't see any broken traces. The ribbon cables...
I also use an m.2 to IDE card in my powerbook G3 PDQ. I had the same trouble installing OSX(tiger). For me it was some weird master/slave/cable select IDE conflict between the card and my DVD drive. I was curious if anyone else had experienced a similar problem with m.2 to IDE. Do you know...
Always wished I could use USB 2.0 under any version of classic Mac OS even 9. I've often wondered how difficult it would be to write the drivers for that.
So quite a while back I recapped a powerbook 160's screen and the results weren't so great. I've done many successful recap jobs (including powerbook screen recaps) in the past so I felt pretty good about the work. Just recently I decided to get it off the self and check my work under the...
Could anyone with a working USB PC card tell me what combination of extensions you have installed?
I had it (sort of) working on my old OS 9.2.2 install. With the old install I could see my USB sticks but the system constantly said there was something wrong with the drive over and over. The...
It took me forever to track down what was going on and I still don't understand why it is happening but...
I am using one of those super cheap mSATA to IDE adapters and I had a hell of a time getting OS X to install on the new SSD. It runs SOOO slow. Install took about 8 hours and it took so...
Was that RadiusWare2.0 image the installer version from the Mac Driver Museum? I found my diskcopy image and it is definitely the one from the original archive.
Also I went looking and I have a 486 motherboard so that PROM burner could possibly come back to life. Just need a copy of the...
On a related note I don't have the sys7 updated ROMs on my board and it makes it a bit flakey....
If only I had a motherboard with ISA slots so I could use my PROM burner again!
I... MIGHT have that. Not totally sure though. I definitely have a radius accelerator 16 in my SE and the driver disk for it in my archive. Unsure of the version.
