I'm not sure if I'm interpreting your wording correctly. Are you wanting to transplant chips from one memory card to another? That is certainly possible to do and can work.
So I finally decided to play around with MacFlim today and man is it AWESOME!
I wanted to try converting my own videos so I thought I would try compiling flimmaker on my PiSCSI so I could just create the flim files right where I was going to use them. Everything seemed to go smoothly but once...
I found the v1.5 manual and had been using it. There were a few questions I needed the 1.2 manual for though. I finally managed to get my hands on a copy though. Thank you. :)
Oh that's terrible news but not surprising. I've gotten used to having to building a lot of tools I use from source. I played with NetBSD a little. I even installed it on my Powerbook 180c ages ago.
I'm trying to get MacX 1.2 up and running but the install process is not straightforward. There isn't really an installer. I've gotten pretty far but I just don't think I'm going to be able to get it working without documentation. I found a later version's manual but it is unfortunately...
If everything is working I'd probably not mess with it personally. That being said there is the potential for cap goo to damage the LCD in worse and unrepairable ways so it might be prudent to do when you feel up to it. I wouldn't mess with the adapter till it stops working since I haven't...
Yes MacTCP works. I managed to ping the google DNS servers from a Mac Plus running system 6.0.8.
Then I broke everything again. *sigh*
I had this all working on a Mac SE back in 2015 with a real DaynaPORT.
Oh woops. I didn't know that! I'm sure I've caused myself issues making false assumptions since I could decompress things on my netatalk share from the Mac side and things worked.
Given how hard it is to find anything regarding cross pi GPIO compatibility I agree with you. I guess it's just my wishful thinking that given the current market conditions this SHOULD be happening. There are a definitely a few Raspberry Pi alternatives that have been intentionally designed to...
My original copy of MountImage came from a friend that was once an Apple service technician back in the day. To my knowledge it never touched a PC filesystem. I use Basilisk II running on Linux for most of my file manipulation needs. Linux's ext4 file system also preserves my resource forks...
It didn't get that far. When I try to open MountImage I get the message:
I figured my copy might be corrupt so I downloaded another copy but it did the same thing. Tried it under a couple of different system 6 installs but got the same result.
I managed to get past this hurdle by squeezing...
I haven't been able to find much about system 6 version feature differences aside from what systems are supported. I thought perhaps 6.0.5 might be using less system resources but I checked RAM usage and it's actually using 26k MORE than 6.0.8. The only advantage I've seen that makes any sense...
Ugh. I'm having a really hard time finding any of the links I previously found. I spent a few hours looking into this the other day. There are already drop in replacement libraries for use with Python so you don't have to change your code. That's not particularly helpful for something like...
Playing with a PiSCSI on my Mac Plus trying to get networking set up and...
I tried copying the DaynaPORT installer into a directory but they will only install from their disk image or a physical floppy. I'd write it to a real floppy but its 1.44M and the Plus obviously can't read that. I...
No I never got it fixed. I did find a brand new drop in replacement LCD though. I might get around to actually buying it one day.

For any project that doesn't need the GPIO I try to find an alternative to using a Pi. Right not I'm playing with using obsolete cell phones for such projects. There are ways to run Linux along side Android and even a few ways to run it bare metal if you've got the right phone. A lot of...
I've been playing with my Mac Plus recently and grabbed the pre-built MacPack_Silverlining image to run on my PiSCSI to speed the process up. I was surprised to find that they had included both system 6.0.5 along side my usual go to system 6.0.8. I was wondering why someone would want to run...
Yeah that one's based on the SL and unfortunately doesn't know how to speak LocalTalk. On the other hand it can interface with a serial printer that doesn't speak LocalTalk which was handy when it was made (not so much now).
