Returning to this, I have to say I'm now wondering if going IDE might be better then keeping with SCSI

Thanks guys, I'm seriously going to give this a go on my G3 400mhz 8500. I bought a new SCSI card to fit a larger 73gb drive to my Mac, but I'm stumped as to what cable I need.

Thanks for that, wasn't sure where to post it. It was mainly a general question, just to see if anyone has used one. The 2930CU I've bought IS a Mac edition. Am I right in thinking I can hook my boot drive up to this card?

As I don't have the AV module on my powermac. What would be the best way to get video to the machine? I'm thinking recording in lowest resolution on my phone or camera and then transfer it via USB. So maybe mpeg or mpeg2 format? Sort of like a video cd quality.
