Beachy I agree the screens are clear, but surely getting another 180 screen is just delaying the inevitable. Aren't they all going bad?

When I took apart the drive in my Plus, I discovered the best lubricant was a bicycle chain always wet oil. I did it years ago now and it still works fine.

Are there any other models of PB screen which can fit in the 180? I just acquired one and it has slight tunnelling on the right side. Would hate to think it can be sorted some how.

I read that the 140 screens don't do it, as ones passive and the others an active matrix screen. Can you put a 140 screen inside a 180?

I use a G4 iBook 1.33ghz on a regular basis, but my PowerBook 15' 1.44ghz is rapidly turning in to my daily driver before graphic design.

Well today I was able to fire up my new 180, its doesn't seem to have suffered any ill effects from its journey via Royal Mail. Just need to start installing software. Can anyone recommend some one who does recapping here in the U.K.?
