Clearly not since...well...2003, anyway.
Some of you might remember my caddy loader that I picked up on eBay in December, after spending the last 9 years looking for one. It developed a problem today where it wouldn't allow you to insert a disk, it would automatically suck in a disk during...
USB2.0 is OS X (Jaguar onwards) only. You can still use a USB2.0 card in OS 9, however it will only work as a USB 1.1 card. I actually have a combo USB2.0/FireWire 400 card in my Beige G3 running OS 9. The USB part works fine, just only as USB 1.1.
Either way, great score. And the best part of...
jt is right - ruggedised laptops use rubber for HDD shock mounting. So long as the drive is securely mounted bumps are the last thing I would worry about. The rubber in the rubber bands decaying, on the other hand...
You won't be able to use the 68882 on your LC475. The card itself will work fine, but the FPU won't.
As for the Classic, while there was a (rare) 68882 card available for the Classic II, there was never an FPU upgrade for any of the 68000 Macs.
I believe they'll also work in a Classic II or LC II.
They're rare, but I wouldn't imagine they'd be all that valuable - most people looking to upgrade would be after 4MB (or bigger) modules.
If that is a 610 board (they mention it as being a 605 board as well...it looks like a 610 board though it might be a good idea to ask them) then it will definitely work, though you may need a new bottom case, as some of the rear connectors between the two are different - for example, the...
Agreed Cory - it has been quite a while since I've seen an SE on eBay.au at least, for less than say...$50 - $80. Even the ones that start out low tend to go for high prices...its all to do with the fact that these machines aren't getting any more common.
If its possible, I'd like to downgrade this one to 1.1.1 one day, just to make it like an iPhone from 2007. Ideally I'd have the best of both worlds - have it unlocked so that I can use it on Australian networks, but also dropped back to 1.1.1 for originality's sake.
So last weekend I decided to buy myself a little present. And today it completed its trip to its new home in Sydney, a loooooooong way from its previous life in Sweet Home Alabama:
That, my friends, is an official, original, USDM 2G iPhone. I haven't really had a chance to use it much yet...
And if I were a moderator, I'd give you a little reminder that "keep it civil" extends beyond the Lounge.
Actually no wait, I'm an admin, so consider this a reminder.
The AppleColor High Resolution Display is a Mac monitor. Designed only for the Mac. So long as you have the correct DB-15 to DB-15 cable, it will plug straight into any LC.
The AppleColor RGB Monitor, on the other hand, is a IIGS monitor. As far as I'm aware this monitor was never marketed as a...
I'd say beachycove is on the money - try putting an old, "dumb" 10Mbps ethernet hub between the Mac and the router. I have never had a problem with Macs running Open Transport failing to get an IP address via DHCP, even from a modern router made in the last couple of years.
I have a TiBook 500 (which itself isn't supported by Apple to run Leopard) running 10.5.8 with an original AirPort card, never had to install any additional drivers or anything, it "just worked".
