Does anyone here offer or know of an LCD backlight replacement service. I have two otherwise great Pismo displays that are red and/or dim and need to look more like new.
A response here or a PM would be greatly appreciated.
TIA
As I continue to unpack a 3400c/Kanga stash stuff comes up that I don’t remember from when it all was put away.
Comes now a 3400c with a startup issue. It chimes, the HD spins up, it takes some time to check the RAM and the LCD backlight comes on - and that’s it. No Happy Mac, no HD reading...
I’m trying to get a Radius GS/C-MP video card to work in my IIci.
The particulars: Recapped MLB IIci with 32 MB RAM, the card in Slot “D”, a M1297 AppleColor HiRez RGB monitor, SS 7.5.2, RadiusWare versions 2.3.2 or 3.2.5. The RadiusWare installer loads two Control Panels and one Extension. The...
OK.
Got a nice looking Pismo out of the ‘Bay. All is good and it functions just fine except - 1. It will NOT start up from any CD or DVD with an OS on it (it will play a movie DVD) and 2. the Sound Control Panel is locked out. I’ve swapped hard drives and and CPUs (daughter cards) and zapped...
In a bit of experimentation I have been trying various SSD schemes in my PB 3400c.
Compact Flash cards in the HD spot with a generic Asian CF-to-IDE adapter work just fine as do CF cards in a proper PCMCIA adapter for that card slot.
I have not been successful with an mSATA SSD in a generic...
OK, we have a couple of folks on 68kMLA who can fix PCBs, etc. better than new.
Do we have anyone, or know of anyone, who can & will replace the backlight in a PowerBook display? I have two Pismos that are great except for the orange (on one) or very dim (on the other) at startup...
This board came to me in a box of Apple II stuff and it obviously isn't Apple II.

Google tells me that MacSnap is gear for early Classic Macs - 128s, 512s and the like - but I do not find anything specific about an "Aux. ROM Board".
Surely the answer is here...
Trying to figure out a "new" logic board in an otherwise proven SE/30 computer.
Known good ROM SIMM
Known good all RAM modules
Known good floppy & hard disk drives (known good Disk Tools or system software)
Starts with no chime but with a good image of the "happy Mac" on the CRT, goes to...
