If your provider requires SSL on SMTP, then you're out of luck. Baton Mail works only with authentication, NOT SSL.

Can you be more specific than "it doesn't work"? Does it show up on the desktop? Does it fail when you try to install? Are you trying to boot from it?

I've been using Baton Mail for a while now with no problems. I'm using it on System 7.5.5, so ignore the 7.6.1 requirement.

The LC, LC II, LC III, and their Performa equivalents are all interchangeable. However, the connectors are in different places on the logic board, between the LC and the LC III (not sure about the LC II). Therefore, the connection that comes out of the power supply is shorter on the LC III's...

I picked this one up on eBay about a week ago. I was looking for a cheap G4, mainly so that I could install 10.4 onto my PowerBook G3 Lombard's hard disk, since I could not get the installer to work. It's a "Yikes!" G4, which would make it about 10 years old. G4 400Mhz, and it came with 512MB...

You can also patch Drive Setup, which is better than HD SC Setup, IMO. It's not very hard to do.

I think the drying time is being exaggerated. I've washed plenty of boards, and they were perfectly dry and working within 2-4 days. That's without the help of a hair dryer or other equipment.
