Well, I said in the post that ''who would like to make them'' Because I don't know how to make them. I was thinking of having someone like Bolle or Herd making them since they are going at reverse engineering cou cards and upgrades.
Hello, so the revision A and B iMac G3's had the mezzanine slot and while it was intended for internal use by Apple, some accessories like the ForMac SCSI card and the 3dfx Game Wizard were developed for it. Items that also used the slot were Griffin's iDock
Now, I was wondering if new...
Well, Devices that support the original Airport card can not use the Airport extreme card and vice versa. If you need a Airport extreme card to run modern/wpa wifi on your old mac, the best option is a apple extreme base. It connects via ethernet, but it works.
So I saw a video by dosdude1 where he takes a Mac mini and replaced the soldered cpu with a socket so he could upgrade it. That may me think of something, would it be possible to do that on a PowerPC Mac?
It would make some cpu upgrade easier on machines who's cpus are soldered like the iMac...
PowerPac Macs could only run Windows in emulation. A popular product was Virtual PC, which was created by Connectix. Then after version 6, it was sold to Microsoft, who made Version 7, the last version for Macs. For Virtual PC 7, it came with XP, but I wonder if it could accept Windows 7 or 10?
I know the community likes 10.4 Tiger, myself included, especially since it's the last version to support classic. In 10.5 Leopard, Apple removed support for it. While 10.5 is newer and the last version of Mac os to support PPC, how come no one has managed to get Classic to work on it? Sure, I...
The developer of TenFourFox, Cameron Kaiser, had said that development of TenFourFox would end, largely due to his time becoming very limited and the increasing amount of development work that was required to keep TenFourFox up-to-date. After all, he's just one guy. If there were a group of...
Hello, I'm thinking of putting a Mac Mini in a clear Macintosh SE/30 case from MacEffects. Is there any tips or adapters that I can use for fitting a Mac Mini in the Seas case?
I think Maybe make modern G4 cpu cards on G3's or G5 cpu cards on G4's would be cool, but everyone is open to their ideas. Making replica upgrade cards would make them more acessibble to the retro-community.
So I saw a forum on macos9lives.com (also a member there) that talked about if it was possible to make modern cpu upgrade cards for the power PC machines. Heres a link: http://macos9lives.com/smforum/index.php/topic,5076.0.html
Well, now I'm curious if anyone else is interested in this idea...
Hey, for the battery-damaged motherboard, I'm sure that Mac84 can fix it. He can clean and fix any Mac motherboard. Also, I think Action Retro is looking for a Daystar Genesis MP, so maybe give one to him.
Apparently, there are some iMac G3 Rev. C models were built using leftover Bondi Blue cases. Has anyone owned or seen or heard of one of these? If so, please explain and provide a photo if possible.
