    Battery holder for 512K

Txs. As there's still half of the old contact, I think I'll be able to fit something... I'll post here the result... if it's not too hideous :)

    Battery holder for 512K

Thanks for the hint. That battery contact would be expensive to me due to shipping cost to Switzerland, but you gave me the idea and in Aliexpress I can see many options that maybe I can adapt to fit. The 18650 would be too big... it wouldn't fit inside. These 4.5V batteries are hard to find...

    Battery holder for 512K

Hello, I got a 512K that is in pretty good shape, except for the battery holder, which has one contact gone due to corrosion. I guess this battery holder is not easy at all to find, but does anyone of you know about a practical approach to restore it, or to retrofit another solution? Txs!

Macintosh classic \ top white line problem

Just out of curiosity... could you post a photo on how it looks like when you shrink the screen to have like 2cm margin on all sides?

Macintosh classic \ top white line problem

I'd try first to adjust the vertical and horizontal size. It seems too tall and wide.

Missing Pressure Pad (and Shield) from 400K Floppy Drive

This topic interests me... I want to replace mine because is in bad shape and I was thinking that maybe I can use the tool to make holes in the leather belts and make a new felt pad... Or maybe with some patiente cut one with scissors. I was planning to cut it from one of these adhesive felt...

    PLUS Floppy Disk Problems

And which computer did you use to format it? Do you have the same result if you use the SE and the Classic or LC?

    PLUS Floppy Disk Problems

Did you try different floppies? Always the same resulting size?

    PLUS Floppy Disk Problems

After the format you get a "Verification" screen that checks the disks and starts reducing the size of available space? If so, I'd try another floppy or another computer...

    PLUS Floppy Disk Problems

Well... this is how I did it... I covered the HD hole and used another Mac to copy the image... I think I used the G3 Wallstreet, but this should just work with others, I guess. For the Plus is dual-sided, but not high density. Single sided is the 128K or first 512K.

    PLUS Floppy Disk Problems

What do you have at hand to write the floppy? Another classic Mac? If so, you can put a sticker to cover the HD hole in the floppy and write on it a 800K boot image.

    Yet Another Netatalk 2.2 Fork

What I did was just to clone the RASCSI repo and use easyintall.sh to install Netatalk... Does this still work? I did it several months ago... (I think all this was done by @slipperygrey for the RASCSI project, right?)
