OK, so the BlueSCSI is recognising it properly.
I would maybe recommend to format the image with Basilisk. It should then appear in the Plus. If you don't have Basillisk, you can ZIP it and put it here, as compressed should be very small.

For support on BlueSCSI I'd recommend to post in https://tinkerdifferent.com/ as its creators are there.
In principle the process is to format with exFat, then create the HDA file with disk jockey with the right name, and then you should be able to format the disk with the Plus, or...
Would that include the case? If so that's pretty reasonable, although I'd still prefer a kit and assemble it myself... just to enjoy a bit more the project.
Can you boot from a floppy?
If you can make the system setup floppies you could at least format the SCSI2SD and install like if it was a regular disk
FYI, there are disk emulators such as BlueSCSI, RASCSI or ZuluSCSI that are far more friendly to use than the SCSI2SD. If you could get one of...
I don't know exactly what is your model, but typically these bags have two handles made of straps sewed around the bag (I can see that in the photo), and also a shoulder strap, that could still be there if you're lucky.

I paid that for my 512K and it was the bare computer, so I had to get all the rest and it ended up way (way!) higher... But in Europe (and here in Switzerland in particular) we aren't so lucky...
It should be possible, unless the legs are too corroded. This is a low cost IC (74ALS245), so not a big deal if finally you have to replace it.
