Sorry to dig up an old thread, but isn't the Coldfire very 68K compatible? There are Amiga Coldfire upgrades that run with no issues...

My Apple 12x SCSI drive works.

Nevermind I got it installed... The 12x drive worked fine, I just had to figure out how SCSI works.

Oh sorry I should have mentioned I am not using an external drive. I have them both on the same cable.

The CD drive does not seem to be the problem. It cannot see my hard drive. Or so I think...

I got the image from the Vintage Computer Files KDX server. And yes, same place every time, or just about. I will try a different CD drive. Edit: It was the CD drive. I got it to boot into the actual A/UX operating system now (it ejects the floppy), but it says it cannot locate any disk...

When I boot off the floppy, it starts trying to load files from the CD, but the progress bar stops and won't go any further... Anyone had this problem? Version 3.0.1 by the way.

No. He probably meant Firewire.

I haven't taken one apart in a while, but if I remember correctly, you have to take the shell off before the front plastics will come off. It will sound like it is breaking when you take it apart too, but it really isn't. :p

What can you do with it?

Yeah I have 9.1 installed now, but it is still a very odd machine, sometimes it will freeze at boot, I just clear the pram at boot and do some openfirmware commands, seems to help at least. Macs apparently, do not "just work". :p

Yeah my mistake, it's 6MB. And I've tried several different sticks of RAM... Personality card is installed. I believe it's just that 9.2.2 just doesn't like old world macs... I'm going to try 9.1

Yeah I know it's not PS/2 but I have a sun adapter that lets me use PS/2 devices... will it do the same thing if no mouse is plugged in?
