I'm a cheap ass. I got one like this works better than the ole radio shack pencil. :p I just tinker with pre 80's audio gear, for that it works great. and the hot air is perfect for melting heat shrink tubes. :lol:

My first plus was an upgrade like that. Stopped working and I gave it away because I could not find another analog board for it(for a reasonable price) at the time. than I got a broken 512k with a plus front on it :o) gave that to the guy I gave the plus to, he's going to bring it back...

got G4 iBook for the kiddo, it's a 933 and has OS 10.4 on it. works fine. just wondering if there is a speed hit if I were to upgrade to 10.5 and if so how big a hit? since 10.5 has better parental controls and runs a newer version of iTunes (don't know how much of an issue that'll be, but...

I had one of those brand spankin' new, it worked for exactly 12months 14days.(yeah, just out of warrantee) :'(

I had beyond dark castle for my plus. didn't play dark castle until I got the current version for my intel macs... which has all the dark castle and beyond dark castle levels in it.

My first was a C64 and I used those at school as well at that time. Apple II+ was my dad's work machine, no kids allowed(stayed at the office anyhow). Than my Dad traded the II+ in for a 512k mac at work, upgraded it to a Plus, than brought it home after he got a platinum plus at work...

no, e-ink is clear and readable. passive matrix is fuzzy...
