    White 16GB iPhone 3GS

It could be the picture, but that back looks like a third party replacement to me, just comparing the fonts to my white 3GS. It's possible someone tried to repair it and either didn't get it back together correctly or damaged something (or the battery is just dead, I suppose).

Slide the cover off the old battery. ;)

    PowerBook...from Canada?

The question is, how long can it stay on before the LCD starts tunneling (edges turn black)?

That one was likely made in Colorado.

NEED HELP identifying an iBook G4 part!!

Those are the springs that kick the battery up when you release the latch.  https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/iBook+G4+14-Inch+1.42+GHz+Hard+Drive+Replacement/731 Go to step 17 to see where it goes.

    ibook G4 HDD surgery

Don't bother with Compact Flash or dedicated PATA SSD's. OS X caches too much for the former to be durable, and the latter is too expensive for what you get. Get a 2.5" PATA to mSATA board and an mSATA SSD. Cheap, reliable, easy. You can also reuse that mSATA drive in a lot of other things if...

Compatible Logic Board and Power Supply for iMac G4 15" 800mhz model

No on the CPU swap, I would test your new machine yourself to verify that everything is actually bad.

SE/30 with jailbar lines on display.

I'll have to grab my meter tomorrow and check. Need to find it first.

Logic board has been correctly recapped, which happily restored my sound, but unfortunately did nothing for the video.  What should I check next?

I think there is a Lunar Lander port for Newton OS.

Got a Newton 2x00 and PB 2400c... Now what???

You'd need the Newton Connection Utilities program. IR syncing was screwy though so it may not be 100% reliable. Most of this stuff should be obtainable at UNNA, the United Network of Newton Archives.   The Fix2010 patch would be a good start as well, and, IIRC, it's also on UNNA.

http://aktuelbevaring.natmus.dk/afrensning-af-plast-med-retrobright.html I mean, I guess a museum isn't a valid source? Ultimately if you want to preserve them long term it may not be the best choice.

    Yellow Fever

Yes, Retrobright has been shown to cause damage to the plastics. The degree varies as CelGen alludes to.

The digging continues: IIsi's found, borked.

Mine's on a shelf waiting to be recapped too.  I'm seeing a trend. :)

Laptop to Desktop Optical Drive Adapter?

IIRC there were third party adapters that used those mounts to even put in SuperDrives.
