Let's bump this thread! I just got a Power Mac 8100/80AV, and it's in pretty good condition. (Although there WAS some Spindler plastic in the bottom of the case... :p )
Even had a MaxellBomb inside, and it was intact! :D
^ your idea has been taken :p
I actually saw one guy who modified one of the toys with a tiny color screen and a computer! It was running some sort of Mac Emulator...
Just got an iPod Classic, and it's the ORIGINAL! The one with the mechanical scroll wheel.
Although it weirdly states that it's Windows formatted. So I'm guessing the firmware was updated...?
And also, an original iPod touch. That bumps my iPod collection up to six.
I got a Mac Classic II today. I turned it on, but there was nothing from the screen. Which makes me think it's an analog board failure...? I honestly don't know, but here's a picture of everything laid out!
And yes, that Maxell is intact.
I have seen Vartas leak just as well as MaxellBombs, though I think Vartas are pretty solid.
YMMV, though. These are 20~ year old batteries so they could leak like any other battery.
got the iMac G4 working again... let's hope *knocks on wood* it continues to work.
I basically cloned the entire hard drive over a FireWire 400 cord, waited for about two hours, and now it works. (Because I don't have any need for a new 10.4 CD...) Even connects to our Wi-Fi!
