Hello MLAers! We've re-enabled auto-approval for accounts. If you are still waiting on account approval, please check this thread for more information.
Yep. If you are going to 3d-print the leaves, go the full mile and GET that perfect shade! It's a little thing that will make you smile, knowing your clamshell is whole again.
That is a bit weird. I've *knocks on wood* never had that problem before. Could I see what the error message actually looks like on the clamshell screen?
Ah yes, those hinges. I have to agree with you there, Cory. Stupid threaded inserts, always breaking and ruining my day!
You just need to prop it upright and well enough that the hinges don't blow up... :pb:
Hard to say. But in good working order, without many visible cracks or bruises, I would say... Between $25 and $50, depending if it has the power adapter and other stuff. In perfect condition, maybe $75 to $150.
EDIT: Can you post any pictures of what the condition is? :)
Does this count as a conquest?? :p
This trackball thingy is pretty big.
EDIT: This seems to be a "Mouse Systems" trackball. Not sure when, or what for. My guess is early Microsoft PCs, (Win98) with the DB9/RS232 connector.
I wouldn't doubt that the damaged plastic is causing it. Maybe, the holes in the top probably let more dust in, settling on the high-voltage areas and making it pop. But, as Techknight said, that probably isn't it. Also, possibly the flyback is bad, as Floofies said.
Sorry for the fact that you...
Floppy drive? I recommend the PowerBook 500 series. Nice little laptop and has a built-in 800k floppy drive.
I like the Wallstreet series idea, but it could be hard to find a working one that has the FDD module installed.
