    Evie's Conquests

You should probably not try and test it, as there is probably more damage to the inside then you may realize. But you can try. Just don't get hurt! :p

    Evie's Conquests

Wow. :( I only hope you got a refund. The Performa 5xx series is going to go extinct in the wild with all this nonsense going on.

Cheap 512k or 128k motherboard replacement

Welp, there's your problem there. You can't get 128k logic boards for cheap, because rare ermagawd. :p

    the iBook's logo.

Yep. If you are going to 3d-print the leaves, go the full mile and GET that perfect shade! It's a little thing that will make you smile, knowing your clamshell is whole again.

    Clamshell Wifi Error

That is a bit weird. I've *knocks on wood* never had that problem before. Could I see what the error message actually looks like on the clamshell screen?

Which laptop has a floppy that I can use to make 800k disks?

Ah yes, those hinges. I have to agree with you there, Cory. Stupid threaded inserts, always breaking and ruining my day! You just need to prop it upright and well enough that the hinges don't blow up... :pb:

    PowerBook 145b

Hard to say. But in good working order, without many visible cracks or bruises, I would say... Between $25 and $50, depending if it has the power adapter and other stuff. In perfect condition, maybe $75 to $150. EDIT: Can you post any pictures of what the condition is? :)

    PowerBook 520 Won't Boot

16 volts. If you're having power fluctuations, take off the cord on the supply and smell. If it smells like fish, crack that sucker open and recap it.

    Carboy7's conquests!

Yes, I agree. Sorta makes me sad that nobody liked it because of the """ugly""" patterns.

    Carboy7's conquests!

Does this count as a conquest?? :p This trackball thingy is pretty big. EDIT: This seems to be a "Mouse Systems" trackball. Not sure when, or what for. My guess is early Microsoft PCs, (Win98) with the DB9/RS232 connector.

Crackling/Static Noises from Apple Multiple Scan 17"

I wouldn't doubt that the damaged plastic is causing it. Maybe, the holes in the top probably let more dust in, settling on the high-voltage areas and making it pop. But, as Techknight said, that probably isn't it. Also, possibly the flyback is bad, as Floofies said. Sorry for the fact that you...

Last piece of my IIc setup - IIc Flat Panel Display!

Nice!! (but was it worth the IIc+? Only time will tell...) ;)

    Dandu's Conquest

Dandu said it was the first model, so I assume he meant the TiBook. And nice PowerBook 100!

Which laptop has a floppy that I can use to make 800k disks?

Floppy drive? I recommend the PowerBook 500 series. Nice little laptop and has a built-in 800k floppy drive. I like the Wallstreet series idea, but it could be hard to find a working one that has the FDD module installed.

    SCSI2SD and spindown

My 520c HDD also spins down at sleep. Sounds like something is bad... I'm sure that the 180 shuts off the HDD at sleep.
