USB 2 in old world macs

Rocking out to the Apple II's wimpy click speaker beeps? Or, we can take that even further by rocking out to the complete, blissful silence created by the Apple I. :D

1GB of shareware and public domain software from 1993

iCab downloaded it as a text file. Anyway, like I said, I got it to work when I changed the format to .sit

It actually DOES extract! I changed the filetype and creator to Sit and it works perfectly.

Uh, could you change them to .sit files? I just remembered that .sea files didn't work if you copied them from a non-OS 9 machine, and I'm downloading them from my OS X powered iBook, my sole internet machine. Sorry... :I

Can you have these in .zip format? I'm an OS 9 user, so that's the only format I can use.

Return To Dark Castle - finally!

Despite being an avid Mac user, I had never heard about this game until just a few days after it was released. It looks nice. I'm currently downloading the demo now. 8-) This game has been in development so long that I think it could be called the "Duke Nukem Forever" of mac games.

Any word from him yet? I've been dying for a bigger collection of sys. 6 shareware than the one on Jag's House (although that one is very impressive).

What he said. I recommend switching to a different service, preferably one that doesn't remove files after a certain amount of time. And why .dmg files? Maybe you could have a format my Mac OS 9 powered G4 could use? It's really annoying that all the Mac shareware single-archive collections...

Games you'd like to see ported to Apple II...

It's no secret that the Apple II was Apple's best computer for gaming, but I feel that there are some games that really deserved a port to the platform that never made it on. These are mostly european games. The Apple II was never very popular in europe. People over there were mostly playing...

    New Apple IIgs

There are schematics somewhere on the web. I found them somewhere, I just forget where. I think they were somewhere on apple2.org.za. Check all the mirrors, you'll find it eventually. Maybe someone could use these to build a working FPGA based 65832 for use in a homemade "Apple IIGS /e" running...

OMG Apple II Web Server !!1!!!1!!!1!11!11!1!111

Hi. Being the very person who requested this web server, I am very pleased with your work. I hope that one day you can serve Apple II games with Applelet. :D Oh, and if the FTA is reading this, make sure to get a Java version of your emulator out, pronto! Preferably one with Java 1.3 support...

Where to download Gus IIGS emulator... Help!

As far as I know, all the download links for this emulator are either broken or dead. Emulation.net once had it, but they have a nasty habit of taking down files and leaving the download links up, so, needless to say, it isn't up there anymore. C'mon, somebody help me out here! :'( Oh, and if...

Installing FreeDOS on Connectix Virtual PC 5

Is there any way to do this? I have Virtual PC 5 with Windows 2000 on Mac OS 9, which is running on a Power Mac G4 Yikes! at 500 Mhz. Whenever I try to insert the FreeDOS disc on a simulated machine with a blank HD, it doesn't work. It just gives a "this disc is unreadable" error on the mac and...

    MacBochs

Well, as far as I know, Bochs isn't availible for 68k Macs either. I have found some versions of SoftPC out on ebay recently, however. You could try that if you're interested.

    Klik & Play?

well, if you want to try it, it's available here. Keep in mind that this version has no clipart, sounds, or examples, just the application. Although it DOES come with PDFs of the whole manual, which is very helpful. :D
