To enable the Ethernet port stats in the RPi Monitor homepage and statistics edit this file: Code: sudo pico /etc/rpimonitor/template/network.conf Uncomment the config (remove the leading "#") from these lines: ....................... Tested it and works nice! Will be in future releases...

    Release of MacIPRpi 6.02

Yes. I agree. I love things like that too. That kind of thinking made me develop the MacIPRpi. So you can actually grab files with your iPhone and sync them to your old Mac, telnet to the internet, that kind of stuff. So use it as a kind of Swiss army knife for our old devices. Feel free to...

    Release of MacIPRpi 6.02

Thanks @NJRoadfan and @Fizzbinn for your help. Printing is rather new for me, so I have to learn too. I will add a disclaimer that the current test setup on;y supports LaserPrinter. I do not have a ImageWriter so testing is not possible for me. Added to the comments at the download page:

    Release of MacIPRpi 6.02

Hmmm .... so installing 4.2.1 didn't help. No... I don't know what is going on. Maybe you can make a new post about this subject and aks for help? I'm not that much into printing and Netatalk. It is just a side thing on the MacIPRpi.

    Release of MacIPRpi 6.02

Could you post a link to the update you mean? Netatalk is developing fast paced! 4.1.1 is from januari 2025. Version 4.2.1 is not even a week old. So the stable version of the MacIPRpi will not always be cutting edge.... You can try to update and use the guidelines on...

lighttpd is only use as web server. Just to test old browser which are not capable of making a secure https connection. No problem to disable it. You will only mis a "surfing the web" page of the first web site at CERN and some useful links.

    Release of MacIPRpi 6.02

Fantastic that you found the problem! A setup with VLAN's can complicate the situation. But you now got it working. About port 80 on the MacIPRpi. On this port is the small web server running: lighttpd ss -ltnp | grep ':80 ' LISTEN 0 1024 0.0.0.0:80 0.0.0.0:*...

    Release of MacIPRpi 6.02

My first advice would be to connect the RPi to a switch or switch port on your modem. I’m afraid the Time Capsule is doing “something”. Could you test this? Nice that you used the test script!

    Release of MacIPRpi 6.02

Thanks your your nice words! Very welcome. Not many users will need something like the MacIPRpi … so support for my work is always nice! You are right! Change the appletalk-test.sh script too. If not you will be missing the red blinking light.

    Release of MacIPRpi 6.02

Didn’t test it on a Rpi 3. Probably will work fine. But the basis idea is that you can use MacIP in a AppleTalk only setting. I use a LocalTalk bridge to do so. But give it a try with your AirTalk card and let me know.
