I'm too tired to look it up. The signal pins are exposed through the motherboard connector, which will accept a VGA signal once the high-res mod is done. The pin out of the connector is available through one of the apple tech docs.

Most of the mag strip readers I have seen just sit inline with the keyboard. The data is passed through as a normal key press, so no drivers are required.
Did you get a PowerVM license with it? The micro-partitioning is a pretty cool feature.
You can setup IVM in VIOS and get almost all of the features of the HMC.

My 24" Dell LCD a has composite input. I have connected my Apple IIe to it. It was kind of neat.
