    I would like to build a game machine

    First thing is to choose a computer. All my games presently need OS 9 or lower. Would the G4 machines be too fast fir the games? The ram will be 1gb Right now the only reason to use the G3 B&W is the adb port, to use the joysticks. Any suggestions?

    Yes, but not much. Going to keep the G4 and the scsi card. The other two I will sell for more than I paid for all of them.

    Picked up three towers last night. A G4 400 mhz AGP, G3 B&W 350 mhz overcloced to 400mhz and a G3 B&W 300mhz with a adaptec 2940u2b card in it.

    1st Gen iMac mods

    Are there any more mods that can be done besides these.? Install 333mhz cpu in slower imacs. More ram Install vram chip from G3 to increase video ram.

    eMac G4 700mhz doorstop

    Success. Took a G4 9.22 disk and booted, wiped the the drive, and partitioned it properly. Loaded 9.22 on then Tiger. It works perfect. I think linux gave it a video resolution that it did not support.
