Oops, screwed up the previous post, so trying again with actual photos this time.

Got my kit today, so let's get it installed.
First step: remove everything that's screen related; CRT and analogue board.
New LCD panel. I have an optional extra; an acrylic lens that I got from @retro apple mods via his Etsy shop. Worth it. Very shiny too.
And installed. Kit comes with...
Urgh, not happy to find out that the QT100/150 is full of caps. I've got a minty QT150 that's working perfectly, I suppose I should look into getting it recapped before something goes wrong. But thanks for highlighting this.
Right, I'll say it.
Everyone here has a passion for repairing things. However, there's a limit to the amount of danger most of us are willing to take on. There's a reason why everyone's telling you to stop messing around with mains voltage, it's lethal. The same reason people don't try to...
I may argue that you probably don't need the driver files for a particularly unknown rare Japanese Nubus graphics card if you're running an emulator...
The files that @cheesestraws kindly provided work fine.
You want an ADK, known as the 'AppleDesign Keyboard', rather than the much more worthwhile AEK. Luckily, ADKs are the cheap ones on eBay as there's millions of the things out there and people would rather have the better AEK/AEK2 anyway.
I know it was over a year ago, but commenting here because I had the exact same problem with a Pickles 24AW (green screen, everything shifted sideways). The problem occurred with two different VGA adapters, a generic 6-DIP one and a Unimac 82D (with 16 switches). Solved it by getting a 10-switch...
Yeah, the Astec/Delta PSUs in these things are hit or miss at this age. You'll either be lucky and get a working one, or it'll be dead. Or extremely unlucky and it'll explode whilst in use. Although at this point that happening means you'll join the club.
The Quadra 650 and 800 boards are...
Hey Paul,
Have a look at the power button on the back panel next to the video output port. If it's stuck in, rotate it 90 degrees with a fingernail and it should pop out again. This'll let you fire up the machine without a keyboard attached.
No, only way of going back to 1-bit would be to rip out the card, harness, and neckboard and put the original stuff back in. Bolle told me why but I'm not clever enough to understand.
I won't say how much I paid in case Bolle wants to adjust the pricing in future. But I will say that whilst not cheap, it's worth it for the fact that it's a limited production, hand-made card. Plus, Bolle deserves to be compensated for all the time reverse-engineering and developing it in the...
Is the PSU connector in the same place as the Q650/800 boards? I've got a Q650 in my Q700 case and the PSU slots directly into the same place it would with the Q700 board.
